@ stripspeldjes. Ligt het smeltpunt van soldeerlood niet aanmerkelijk lager dan dat van zilver? Dan voorzichtig smelten met een laag vermogen soldeerbout en gesmolten lood wegnemen met vloeipapier. Moet lukken. (Niet met een soldeerpistool aan de gang gaan, maar met een "stiftje")
Even gecheckt: soldeertin rond 183-217 graden, zilver 961.8 graden. Moet lukken, tenzij er met zilver is gesoldeerd, dan is het een gevalletje "jammer".

@ comic pins. Isn't the melting point of solder lead considerably lower than that of silver? Then carefully melt with a low power soldering iron and remove molten lead with tissue paper. Should work. (Do not use a soldering gun, but use a "tip")
Just checked: solder around 183-217 degrees, silver 961.8 degrees. It should work, unless it is soldered with silver, then it is a case of "too bad".

Ik kan ze niet meer terugvinden via het zoekmenu, wel staan ze nog in de muntencatalogus en in verzamelingen.

RvH Dat wil ik helemaal niet zeggen. Een zwak geslagen letter of nummer gebeurt wel vaker als de stempel net in dat gebied beschadigd of geblokkeerd wordt bij het slaan van de munt. Het is niet omdat je het niet voelt dat er geen hoogteverschil is trouwens. Dit heeft niets met kleur te maken, het hoogteverschil is gewoon zodanig klein dat het met de blote vingers niet voelbaar is.

RvH I don't want to say that at all. A weakly struck letter or number often happens when the stamp in that area is damaged or blocked when the coin is minted. Just because you don't feel it doesn't mean there isn't a height difference. This has nothing to do with color, the height difference is simply so small that it cannot be felt with bare fingers.

Ik als newbe weet dat dit  niet het geval is! 
voor de duidelijkheid... het plekje waar de letter mist is glad en hetzelfde niveau als de rest van de munt.
Er is geen enkel niveau verschil of iets van een minder hoge letter.... dat je iets kan lezen komt door kleur verschil.

As a newbe I know this is not the case!
just to be clear...the spot where the letter is missing is smooth and the same level as the rest of the coin.
There is no difference in level or anything of a lower letter... the fact that you can read something is due to the color difference.

RvH Als dit inderdaad om een kleine misslag gaat (zwak geslagen letter) dan zal je er misschien ergens tussen de 50 cent en 5 euro voor kunnen vragen. De meeste kleine muntfouten die ik zo zie gaan meestal voor ergens rond die prijs, maar in principe is het niet zo veel meer waard dan een gewoon examplaar. Daar moet je een meer dramatische misslag voor hebben.

RvH If this is indeed a small mistake (weakly struck letter) then you might be able to ask somewhere between 50 cents and 5 euros for it. Most of the small mint errors I see usually go for somewhere around that price, but in principle it's not worth that much more than a regular specimen. You'd have to make a more dramatic mistake for that.

Ik weet niet meer met welke 2 munten het was. En waarschijnlijk zijn er nog zo 'n gevallen.
Maar als voorbeeld: je stak 1 gulden in het toestel om te telefoneren. Maar het ging evengoed met bv een muntstuk uit land X dat 20 x minder waarde had.
En die munt ging ook door een bepaald systeem. 
Grootte hetzelfde en ok maar vorm en dikte werden niet herkend.
Niet de 1e keer maar zeg het weer: diegene die dit uitvind die mag zich rijk rekenen.

Size the same and ok but shape and thickness were not recognized.

elke afwijking (tenzij serieel) is toch uniek? 
bedenk eens welke software ( of trend: AI ) dat zou kunnen? 
Herkennen kan al vaak met een (zij het bekende dingen) app.
Vraag is : wat is een 'waardevolle'  afwijking? en leer dat de kunstmatige intelligentie maar eens aan.
en dan nog eens :

uniek is er maar 1 : wat dient dan als basis ?  Je moet wel even weten dat er maar 1 is?
En het niet bestaan in het geheugen = treffer, zegt mij dan nog steeds, dat ik dat geval toch moet gaan uitzoeken waarom hij 'treft'... (enz.)

The question is: what is a 'valuable' deviation? and teach artificial intelligence that.

Ik snap de vraag wel.  Als je 'niet echt' verzamelaar bent, en je hebt enkele munten, dan kun je uren zoeken om uit te vogelen welke munten dat eventueel zouden kunnen zijn.  Meestal (altijd?) uiteraard in de hoop een schat te bezitten.
Uren en uren tijd, om enkel en alleen daarna vast te stellen dat die 100 munten samen een potentiële waarde hebben van 1 euro.  Als je geluk hebt.
Kom je hoger uit? Dan kun je aannemen dat de kans op vergissingen groot is.

Als verzamelaar bouw je kennis van de materie op.  Daar gaan jaren over.

In het digitale tijdperk is 'de mens' danig gepamperd dat hij denkt dat er voor alles wel een digitale oplossing (apparaat, app, ...) bestaat om het gebrek aan kennis en kunde op te lossen.  Digitaliteit als surrogaat voor inzet.  Alles om maar geen inspanning te moeten leveren.
Niet dus.
Je hebt van nature een aanleg tot intelligentie (of je hebt het niet).
Met aanleg alleen echter ben je niks.  Die aanleg moet geëxploiteerd worden.

De vraag op zich is al lovenswaardig en bewijst dat de mens achter deze vraag al in fase 1 is geraakt van het leerproces: het bewust zijn van onbekwaamheid.
Die fase is een noodzakelijk kwaad in elk leerproces.

I do understand the question. If you're a 'not really' collector, and you have some coins, you can spend hours searching to figure out which coins they might be. Usually (always?) of course in the hope of owning a treasure.
Hours and hours of time, only to determine that those 100 coins together have a potential value of 1 euro. If you are lucky.
Do you end up higher? Then you can assume that the chance of mistakes is high.

As a collector you build up knowledge of the subject. That takes years.

In the digital age, 'humans' have been so pampered that they think that there is a digital solution for everything (device, app, etc.) to solve the lack of knowledge and skills. Digitality as a surrogate for commitment. Everything so that you don't have to make any effort.
Not so.
You either have a natural talent for intelligence (or you don't).
However, talent alone won't do you any good. That facility must be exploited.

The question itself is commendable and proves that the person behind this question has already entered phase 1 of the learning process: being aware of incompetence.
That phase is a necessary evil in any learning process.

Now it can start... or it can stop there.
