In the past I have collected matchboxes. I also once received a collection from someone who traveled quite a lot (1970-1980) and also collected. I would like to give that combined collection (3 shoe boxes full) away to a collector.

I have no idea how many exactly there are and whether there are valuable ones among them. I know they come from all over the world. (e.g. Colombia, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Portugal, etc.)

However, if it concerns a valuable collection, I would like to make a donation to a good cause. I trust that this will happen.

The boxes can be picked up in Bergen op Zoom or Antwerp.

If interested, I would like to hear from someone.

Hello,

Giving away is always possible.

There is a collector somewhere near Doetinchem. I thought in Varsseveld, but I'm not sure. Just take a look with a search engine. I have all sold my collection and albums to him. Thought to get 50 euros for it and he gave 450 euros for it. So it could have some value.

Good luck searching.

Hello, I am also a collector myself, and I am sometimes driven to get a certain box, the most expensive I ever bought I then paid 200Bef (5 €)

the most expensive box (1 pieces) that I ever saw it sell was 600Bef (15 €) and you will believe it, the matches were all still in it,

just to say how relative it all is,

inherited 2 collections myself, and bought one from estate (2500Bef) in the meantime I have more than 10000 items including rare misprints

if I come to ... my collection might be thrown away, who knows, ,,, I try my your grandson to arouse his interest with the beautiful animal pictures,

if a tip can help, put them for sale on second hand or kapaza, and hopefully you can make a nice donation to a good cause,

Congratulations on your nice idea,

mvg, catren e, 10/21/2013,

And as long as you haven't sold them, you can add to CataWiki and to your Shop. This is possible in 1x if you add new matchboxes to the CataWiki Catalog. You will do a lot of collectors a lot of pleasure, I think.

I do not collect them myself (unless there is an image of a Disney figure, Amsterdam or Eernewoude / Grou), but I think The most important thing is that you place the top in image 1, use the bottom in image 2 and use image 3 for the content. This can be done, for example, by opening the box (we know immediately how it opens) and placing a few matches next to it. What is also important, in this case, is the size of the box and matches.
