Beste Beheerders, ik dacht ik ga even invoeren bij Vietnam, maar kwam daar allemaal zegels tegen die niet in mijn katalogus stonden.

maar nu blijkt, dat dit ook niet zo vreemd is.

ik heb in totaal 51 zegels verplaats naar noord en zuid vietnam.

en daar bleken deze ook al te staan.

maar het verbaasd mij opnieuw dat Vietnam totaal uit het verband is getrokken.

en dat daarom de meeste zegels klakkeloos onder Vietnam worden gezet, omdat namelijk voor een leek niet te lezen is op de zegel of het noord,zuid of gewoon vietnam is.

het komt dan opnieuw door het feit dat Noord bij de N staat, en Zuid bij de Z en Vietnam zelf bij de V staat. hoe moeilijk kun je het maken voor ieder.

waarom niet gewoon Vietnam-noord en vietnam-zuid en vietnam, en dan alles bij de VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

de leek weet niet eens dat Vietnam een Noord of Zuid heeft, klikt gewoon de V aan, en ziet Vietnam, want dat staat op de zegel, en voerd in.

en daar gaan weer.

en dat zie ik bij een hoop landen gebeuren

the layman doesn't even know that Vietnam has a North or South, just clicks on the V, and sees Vietnam, because that's what it says on the stamp, and enters.

and there go again.

You can of course put North Vietnam at both the N and the V. Then both the collector who searches North Vietnam and searches Vietnam and then discovers that there is also North Vietnam ...

Should be easy to fix: an administrator should simply enter 'Vietnam North' as the alias of 'North Vietnam'.

Or the aliases Viet Nam Cong hoa (South Vietnam) and Viet Nam Dan chu Cong hoa (North Vietnam).

( Unfortunately, diacritics not yet possible here.)

Onder Zuid-oost-azie verzamelaars is het volgende gangbaar.

3. Vietcong uitgaves 1963-1976 ( Zuid-vietnamees bevrijdingsleger onder Ho Chi Minh  1963-1976 (Om politieke redenen niet erkend door de UPU, volgens sommige niet-Vietnam verzamelaars dus Cinderela's)
4. Noord-Vietnam 1946-1976

3 - Zuid-Vietnam 1951-1975   

1. Onder Keizer Bao-Dai 1951-1954

Do you know how many times the official names of North Vietnam, South Vietnam and the Vietcong have changed in their short existence? all 2 or 3 times :)

Nee, dat wist ik niet. Ik heb eerlijk gezegd alleen gekeken wat er op de postzegels stond vlak voor de hereniging. En die twee voorbeelden lossen toevallig het probleem op dat Noord en Zuid niet onder de V terug te vinden zijn.

Ik snap trouwens nog steeds niet waarom er niet altijd uitgegaan wordt van wat er op de zegels staat.

Helvetia, Suomi, Eesti, Sverige, Norge, España, allemaal landen die je niet als zodanig terug kunt vinden in de postzegelcatalogus van Catawiki. (Alleen Ierland heeft wél Eire als alias.)

Het argument om die niet als alias toe te voegen was, geloof ik, dat de landenlijst te onoverzichtelijk zou worden. Alsof hij dat niet al lang ís (zeker voor buitenlandse gebruikers en beginnelingen).

No, I did not know that. I honestly only looked at what was on the stamps right before the reunification. And those two examples happen to solve the problem that North and South cannot be found under the V.

By the way, I still don't understand why people don't always start from what's on the stamps.

Helvetia, Suomi, Eesti, Sverige, Norge, España, all countries that you cannot find as such in Catawiki's stamp catalogue. (Only Ireland does have Eire as an alias.)

This time again a nice history lesson from Sinbad 'the teacher'. There is always something to learn on the CataWiki forum and stamp collecting has been given an extra dimension by CataWiki and hopefully revived the dull image of stamp collecting. Not dull for collectors, of course, but if you tell someone that you collect (post) stamps, he will think that you are just starting to collect, because everyone collects (or has collected) (post) stamps. In this way you can make your collection beautifully digital and present it to others. Great fun and even more fun that you can discuss it!

Ja de discussie over Vietnam is interessant en heeft ook zin  en ook de informatie van Sinbad. Ik hoop dat Sinbad deze informatie ook als achtergrond informatie bij Vietnam gaat vermelden, Dan zijn wij weer een stukje vooruit gegaan. Weer een steen gelegd.

Maar ik doelde ( een goede lezer) op de landenlijst en daar doelde boekenmagazijn op. Dat is een discussie die wij al uitgebreid hebben gevoerd.

Laten wij dit dan aanpakken dan hebben discussie op het forum zin.Maar daar stokt het.

Het onderwerp ""landenlijst"" is wel bij de beheerders bekend en men heeft er wel een mening over. ( Deze hebben ze niet duidelijk op het forum verkondigd)

But I meant (a good reader) on the country list and that's what book warehouse meant. That is a discussion that we have already had at length.

Let's tackle this then discussion on the forum makes sense. But that's where it stops.

Then one should simply not respond and that will bleed the discussion to death again.

Om deze gebieden wat overzichtelijker te maken, zal Vietnam volgens het principe van hoofd- en subgebieden als volgt aangepast worden in de lijst:

1) Vietnam;

2) Vietnam - Noord-Vietnam;

3) Vietnam - Zuid-Vietnam;

4) Vietnam - Voorlopige Revolutionaire Regering van de Republiek van Zuid-Vietnam (1975-1976).

De bestaande items zullen ook nagekeken worden en desgevallend aangepast en/of overgeheveld worden.

To make these areas more clear, Vietnam will be adjusted in the list according to the principle of main and sub areas as follows:

1) Vietnam;

2) Vietnam - North Vietnam;

3) Vietnam - South Vietnam;

4) Vietnam - Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam (1975-1976).

The existing items will also be checked and, if necessary, adjusted and/or transferred.

Je kan van mij niet verlangen dat ik alles al heb bekeken en begrepen.

Wat al volgens mij vaststond is al gewijzigd, nl.

Vietnam - Noord-Vietnam

Vietnam - Zuid-Vietnam

Wat Frans Indochina betreft, verandert er niets: Indochina omvatte meer dan alleen Vietnam en blijft een afzonderlijk, weliswaar niet meer bestaand gebied.

Voor wat cinderella's inhoudt, ken je mijn standpunt al langer (of niet meer en dan ga je maar kijken naar mijn vorige berichten). Dus geen stemmingmakerij!!

As far as French Indochina is concerned, nothing will change: Indochina included more than just Vietnam and remains a separate, albeit defunct, territory.

As far as cinderellas are concerned, you've known my point of view for some time (or not anymore and then you'll have to look at my previous posts). So no mood making!!
