Last week I offered 6 lots at the auction.

Today I find out that all photos of 1 lot have been removed (4. Germany) ...

I always check whether all photos are included in the auction lot. Because I myself, to avoid 'broken links', remove all photos from the internet afterwards and overwrite them with a "Sold" photo.

When I report the error this morning, this afternoon I am amazed at the fact that they have unthinkingly downloaded the photos from my site and added them back to the lot.

With all the consequences: There is now a photo under "Item Sold"

To contact someone from Catawiki in every way is zero on request to date. Called 4 times and emailed 3 times.

So just like that. I can't restore the photos because I'm not in the office, but in the store, and it doesn't take until 8:30 PM to get back to the office ...... ;-(

Brilliant .

We had indeed seen this this morning and emailed about it immediately. I'll just send a new email.

I just deleted the two new photos that were added this morning.

@Marco

Ok, thank you. But I will no longer be in the office before 20:30, to put the old photos back on my server, what can we do about it?

I didn't want to interfere, but the lot ends in 3 minutes.

You can't just leave such a lot with an incomplete description...

This will cost the provider money.

We talked about this with the provider this afternoon. Before the start of the bidding, the provider was given the opportunity to check the lot and then it was not noticed that images were missing (which could be viewed via the link in the description). Unfortunately it was no longer possible to add more images today.

The people who bidding have been able to view all the photos via the enclosed link.

All the people who commanded did so on Friday. I was then also able to view all images via the url mentioned in the text (no link). I thought it was a strange way of working, but I didn't say anything about it because I didn't want to be the bad guy again.

I don't know when exactly the provider removed the images from his server, but at the latest today no one has been able to determine on the basis of all the photos (does not seem unimportant if the description only mentions "Used / Unused") whether he wanted to make an even higher offer.

It is quite conceivable that some interested parties would still have been outbid if the photos had still been visible. (Via the external link or with the lot, as apparently was the intention of the seller.)

Normally we use this link to be able to upload many images in one go. read. This saves the provider a lot of time. Once that's done, that link will be removed. That had not happened with this lot and was overlooked by both the provider and ourselves.
