Ik ben Lex, 21 jaar. Mijn ouders hadden laatst een aandeel/waardepapier op zolder gevonden waar heel weinig over te vinden is op het internet, eigenlijk vrijwel niks. Daarom heb ik hier een account aangemaakt om te vragen of jullie raad weten.

Ik ben geen verzamelaar, ik ben gewoon benieuwd over dit stuk:

I am Lex, 21 years old. My parents had recently found a stock/security paper in the attic about which very little can be found on the internet, actually virtually nothing. That's why I created an account here to ask your advice.

I'm not a collector, I'm just curious about this piece:

Ik ben Walter. Enkele jaren geleden, op een veiling in de locale postzegelclub, werd een slordige oudere verzameling sluitzegels aangeboden voor enkele luttele euro’s. Ik had het ingekeken en vond het wel iets bijzonder. Niemand deed een bod tot ik uiteindelijk mijn hand opstak en het toegewezen kreeg. Waarschijnlijk heb ik het zo uit de papiercontainer gered.  

In ben postzegelverzamelaar, voornamelijk van Tsjecho-Slowakije, en recent dacht ik eraan misschien in deze verzameling wel enkele sluitzegels van de PRAGA tentoonstellingen te kunnen vinden. Niet dus, pech. 

Terwijl het boek uit de kast was besloot ik om één en ander op te zoeken op het internet, maar helaas, er is weinig over sluitzegels te vinden. Zo kwam ik plots bij LD.

Heb nu besloten de verzameling netjes te ordenen in een mooier boek en één en ander aan de catalogus op LD toe te voegen om zo bij te dragen aan de opbouw van een nuttige catalogus. En zo wordt ik ook een beetje verzamelaar van “cinderella’s”.
Heb er ondertussen al enkele toegevoegd...

I am Walter. A few years ago, at an auction in the local stamp club, an untidy older collection of closing stamps was offered for a few euros. I looked into it and thought it was something special. No one made an offer until I finally raised my hand and was awarded it. I probably saved it from the paper container like that.

I am a stamp collector, mainly from Czechoslovakia, and recently I thought about finding some seals from the PRAGA exhibitions in this collection. Not so, bad luck.

While the book was out, I decided to look up some things on the internet, but unfortunately, there is not much to be found about closing stamps. That's how I suddenly came to LD.

I have now decided to neatly organize the collection in a nicer book and to add some things to the catalog on LD in order to contribute to the construction of a useful catalog. And so I also become a bit of a collector of “cinderellas”.

Er is inderdaad bijna niks over te vinden op het internet, en het zijn meestal zo'n pareltjes.  Lucky you dat niemand dat besefte.  Zo heb je een echte 'schat' kunnen bemachtigen.  Zeker zoveel mogelijk toevoegen.  De ordening en aanvulling kan dan later volgen.  Soms is er iemand die iets herkent en er de 'wijsheid' aan toevoegt.

There is indeed almost nothing to be found on the internet, and they are usually such gems. Lucky you no one realized that. This way you have been able to get hold of a real 'treasure'. Be sure to add as much as possible. The arrangement and addition can then follow later. Sometimes there is someone who recognizes something and adds the 'wisdom' to it.

Hallo, mijn naam is Arjanne en ik verzamel al lange tijd van alles dat met geiten te maken heeft. Vooral (ansicht)kaarten, puzzels en beeldjes/miniaturen etc. Mijn verzameling is dus in meerdere rubrieken terug te vinden.
Mijn kaarten had ik al in een database, maar de rest nog niet. Ik zie hier heel veel dingen uit mijn verzameling terug en zal de database ook aanvullen met items uit mijn verzameling die ik hier nog niet terug zie.

Frageria  mag ze wel, heb er alleen geen plek voor :)  Het klopt inderdaad dat ik Rusland verzamel, daar ligt nu voornamelijk mijn focus. Daarnaast verzamel ik ook Noorwegen, Oostenrijk Polen en Roemenië

Hallo allemaal! Lars hier. Ik heb onlangs  een door mijn overleden opa opgebouwde postzegelverzameling in m’n LastDoDo collectie opgenomen. Veel zit in mooie Davo mappen en is goed gestructureerd. De familie wil graag de collectie in 1 keer of in grote onderdelen verkopen. Ik ben bekend met de gebruikelijke veilinghuizen en  handelaren, maar is er iemand die wat tips kan geven wat het beste te doen? Alles tips en trucks zijn welkom!

Hello everyone! Lars here. I recently added a stamp collection built up by my late grandfather to my LastDoDo collection. Much is contained in beautiful Davo folders and is well structured. The family would like to sell the collection in one go or in large parts. I'm familiar with the usual auction houses and dealers, but is there anyone who can give some tips on what's best to do? All tips and tricks are welcome!

Je kunt ze natuurlijk gewoon hier verkopen in je LastDodo shop. Eenvoudigweg verplaatsen van je verzameling naar je shop. Op de pagina van het item in je verzameling zie je al wat anderen voor een postzegel vragen, dus dan heb je al houvast voor de prijs. 

Het kost meer tijd maar dan is de opbrengst ook wel een stuk hoger dan als je alles in een keer aan een handelaar verkoopt.

You can of course just sell them here in your LastDodo shop. Simply move your collection to your shop. On the page of the item in your collection you can already see what others are asking for a stamp, so you already have something to hold on to for the price.

It takes more time, but then the yield is also a lot higher than if you sell everything to a trader at once.

Hi Rene - dank! Je hebt een goed punt uiteraard. Is er iets in algemene zin te zeggen over de doorlooptijd? Dus hoe lang duurt het doorgaans gemiddeld voordat een zegel verkocht is?

Hallo verzamelvrienden! Ik (Paul) ben nieuw op deze site, maar verzamel al lang. Ik woon al ~25 jaar in de VS, en heb al vele jaren geen Nederlands meer geschreven, excuses voor taalfouten.
Ik spaar al zo'n 50 jaar Nederlandse postzegels, en spaar ook (maar met minder diepgang) Belgie and de VS. Ik ruil liever dan dat ik koop, en zoek nog een aantal Nederlandse zegels (vrijwel alle die ik nog zoek zijn drukfouten). Ik heb vrijwel alle Nederlandse zegels te ruil. Ook heb ik een kleine collectie stripboeken, en een grote verzameling Lego. Voor zover heb ik een foto opgeladen voor een zegel waar nog geen foto van voorhanden was. In de komende weken, als ik tijd heb, zal ik kijken of ik nog meer fotos kan leveren.

Hello collector friends! I (Paul) am new to this site, but have been collecting for a long time. I've lived in the US for ~25 years, and haven't written Dutch in many years, apologies for language errors.
I've been saving Dutch stamps for about 50 years, and also save (but with less depth) Belgium and the US I'd rather exchange than buy, and am looking for a few more Dutch stamps (almost all I'm still looking for are misprints). I have almost all Dutch stamps to exchange. I also have a small collection of comic books, and a large collection of Lego. So far I have uploaded a photo for a stamp of which no photo was yet available. In the coming weeks, when I have time, I'll see if I can provide more photos.

Goede middag allemaal, omdat ik zoveel mogelijk wil weten over de 80 jarige oorlog, kwam ik ook op deze site (LastDodo) terecht. Hoewel ik geen specifieke verzamelingen heb, ben ik best wel geïnteresseerd in specifieke items. Vooral miniaturen van de VW bus T1 hebben mijn belangstelling. Een 2de interesse betreft geografische atlassen.  

Good afternoon everyone, because I want to know as much as possible about the 80-year war, I also ended up on this site (LastDodo). While I don't have specific collections, I am quite interested in specific items. I am especially interested in miniatures of the VW bus T1. A second interest concerns geographical atlases.

Ik ben nieuw hier en gezien er een stel jezelf voor forum onderwerp is lijkt het me wel zo netjes om dat ook te doen.

Dus ik ben Kenneth en kom uit Rotterdam en wil hallo zeggen tegen iedereen hier op deze site. Met mijn dagelijkse bezigheden help ik veel mensen met de dingen die voor hun even niet mogelijk is. Op het moment zijn dat veel oudere mensen en dan help ik ze met het halen van boodschappen, opruimen en soms klus ik zelfs voor ze. Dit doe ik kosteloos voor hun gezien het toch allemaal erg duur is tegenwoordig. Zelf vind ik het fijnste ervan dat ik altijd blije gezichten ziet als ik dan weer naar huis gaat. Nu is het zo dat ik hierdoor veel verschillende dingen in handen krijg omdat zoals ze zeggen heel erg dankbaar zijn en enkele maanden geleden kreeg hier en daar wel eens iets leuks alleen gaf ik dat meestal weer weg. De laatste weken heb ik zeer veel verschillende dingen gehad. Dingen zoals een hele grote zak met munten (gemixt met euromunten en oude valuta's), schilderijen, meubels etc. Gewoon te veel om op te noemen.
Het is ook een beetje de reden dat ik nu op deze site ben gekomen. Allereerst moet ik zeggen dat ik het een geweldige site vind en zeker veel verzamel opjecten kan vinden hier. Ik ben die grote zak met munten gaan doorspitten en dat was eigenlijk zo leuk dat ik opzoek ben gegaan om te kijken of die munten nog wat waard zijn. Ik heb van bijna elke land wel iets aan valuta en ben gewoon nieuwschierig geworden. Maar na veel gezocht te hebben naar echte prijzen van de valuta's ben ik op deze site gekomen en denk dat er toch wel een verzamelaar in mij verstopt zit. Ook hoop ik dat ik mogelijk mensen hier ook een beetje blij kan maken met de dingen die ik hier wel wil verkopen. Zo sla ik 2 vliegen in 1 klap. Naast mogelijk blije mensen komen de verzameldingen ook bij de juiste eigenaren die daar met een goed hart mee omgaat. Nou dat gaat snel zoveel tekst. Dus ik ga verder met de site ontdekken.

I'm new here and since there's an Introduce Yourself forum topic I think it would be neat to do the same.

So I'm Kenneth and come from Rotterdam and want to say hello to everyone here on this site. With my daily activities I help many people with things that are not possible for them for a while. At the moment these are a lot of older people and then I help them with shopping, cleaning up and sometimes I even do odd jobs for them. I do this for free for them since it is all very expensive nowadays. Personally, I like the fact that I always see happy faces when I go home. Now it is true that because of this I get a lot of different things because as they say are very grateful and a few months ago I got something nice here and there, but I usually gave it away again. The last few weeks I've had a lot of different things. Things like a really big bag of coins (mixed with euro coins and old currencies), paintings, furniture etc. Just too much to mention.
It's also part of the reason I came to this site now. First of all I have to say that I think it's a great site and can certainly find a lot of collectibles here. I went through that big bag of coins and that was actually so much fun that I went looking to see if those coins are still worth something. I have some currency from almost every country and have just become curious. But after a lot of searching for real prices of the currencies I came to this site and I think there is a collector hidden inside me. I also hope that I can possibly make people here a bit happy with the things I do want to sell here. So I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. In addition to possibly happy people, the collections also come to the right owners who handle them with a good heart. Well that goes quickly so much text. So I continue to explore the site.

Dank je voor je reactie. Ik moet nog even wennen aan de site, maar dat gaat wel goed komen. Zeker ga ik gebruik maken van de help functie, maar dat zal op een later tijdstip worden. Er liggen zeer veel verschillende munten voor me dus ik kan nu dat gaan soorten en zien wat ze mogelijk waard kunnen zijn en ze dan ook aanbieden. Ik vraag me af waarom we zijn overgestapt op de euro. De ene munt is nog mooier dan de ander. De euro dat eigenlijk maar suf. Verder wens ik iedereen hier veel plezier met verzamelen!

Thank you for your comment. I still have to get used to the site, but it will be fine. I will certainly use the help function, but that will be at a later date. There are a lot of different coins in front of me so I can sort that now and see what they might be worth and then offer them. I wonder why we switched to the euro. One coin is even more beautiful than the other. The euro that is really just dull. Furthermore, I wish everyone here a lot of fun collecting!

Wij zijn vorig jaar gestart met een bedrijfje die mensen helpt verhuizen, maar ook om woningen leeg te maken. Nu merken we dat we enorm veel boeken vinden en krijgen die wss nog enige waarde hebben of waar verzamelaars naar op zoek kunnen zijn.
Bij het opzoeken van prijzen en plaatsen waar we deze boeken kunnen verkopen, kwamen we hier terecht.

Van oudsher vinden boeken vaak via boedelruimingen hun weg naar kringlopen of winkeliers. Ik kan me voorstellen dat jullie geen tijd zullen hebben om boeken die nog niet in onze catalogus staan in te voeren, echter je kan inderdaad gebruik maken voor je verkoop via de eigen shop qua boeken die er al in staan. Ik ben wel benieuwd wat jullie te koop gaan aanbieden via LD ..

Traditionally, books often find their way to thrift shops or retailers through estate clearances. I can imagine that you will not have time to enter books that are not yet in our catalog, but you can indeed use it for your sale through your own shop in terms of books that are already in it. I am curious what you will offer for sale via LD ..
