Kolkhoz Peasant Woman Soviet Union #2119127
According to my Michel there are two variants, the 578 A (yellow) green, July 1937, K12:12.5, a regular stamp and the 578 C green, 1939, L12.5, which is very scarce.
I have been working on a shoebox full of Russia/Soviet Union for a while and came across the two stamps below (photo). Probably both number 578 A because the teeth are approximately 12:12.5 (11x/16x teeth = equal) and you will not often encounter the 578 C in a shoe box. However, it is strange that apart from the color differences (full green and yellow-green), the height dimensions of the logo are not exactly the same. I also don't know if the printing technique is the same. The question is, are there any more varieties or reissues known of this stamp?

MDuinmaijer most Soviet/Russian catalogs list the same as Michel.
Only Spivak makes an explicit distinction between "green" and "dark green". Both stamps are very common.

Furthermore, only the three known perforation differences (comb, line and toothless) where line and toothless are very rare.

MDuinmaijer
You do bring up an interesting topic. The image size is an underexposed characteristic of stamps. In my opinion it is just as relevant as grid size, for example. Different image sizes are in principle always printed with different molds and therefore they are different stamps. I don't know if that is the case here. I am not an expert in this area and the differences in image size do not seem that big here. But there are plenty of stamps with constant differences in image size. Unfortunately, the 'Image size field' is not present at LastDodo. Instead, there is the Dimensions / diameter field, a field that, in my opinion, contributes little (or nothing?) to distinguishing variants.

az60 a separate field would be useful. Now you sometimes see this described in the comments field.
