I still have one with Blake & Mortimer for sale, but when I look on Last Dodo as a buyer I can't find it anywhere. I have had one with Nero and with Suske and Wiske, but I can't find it either and now I still have 1 with Jommeke for 50 years from 2005. I would think logically to put it in a 'Yellow Postcard' section, but I can't find any examples . which section should this be in now?

A card with an imprinted stamp (pre-printed postage) belongs to the stamp category. We call these pieces 'Post Stationery'.
You probably mean Michel P 514 #9746157 ?
There is also a yellow postcard (part of postal stationery in Belgium) with Jommeke on it #2825479 , Michel P 636.

As soon as there is a pre-printed postage on it, then that side is the front. Even if the back contains a postcard (which is not the case with yellow postcards).

It is a species that belongs to the Stamp Section. Postal stationery was issued by an official postal service and sold through their distribution channels. You paid in advance with the card for a service to be provided: delivering the card to the address you put on it (the recipient, if it was placed in the correct place on the card by the sender).

This is different with postcards. Then you pay for the card. Without additional postage, it will not be delivered to the address you put on it. Then you pay for that service (delivery) by purchasing and affixing a stamp (with the correct minimum postage value).

Raoul62 someone might want to take a look at 22 pieces of 'Yellow Postcard' at Postcards.
Are they not in the correct section?
And there are even some with a 'stamp' on it, but never 'run'.

If they are expired cards, I consider them as mail items. Postal items are collected under the heading of postal history.

There was a forum post about it today, in which I gave my opinion. Current mail items (except FDCs and Special Envelopes) are not produced in circulation. Based on the manual, one of the 4 basic conditions, these cannot be included in a catalog on LD.
If so, the millions of letters and postal parcels sent every day could be added.
Those things are fun to study, but they don't belong on LD.
Despite the letters in Other . These are not made in editions.

If these are virgin (not circulated) cards without pre-printed postage, then they are limited edition items. I think they can only be placed in the 'Other' section (as a postcard or postcard ). We do not have a 'Cards without a postcard' section.
Anyone (any company, any printer) is allowed to produce such things. If they meet the formal requirements of the Postal Service, they can be used for this purpose, provided that a valid stamp with sufficient postage value is affixed to them.

With the postage value printed on them (the so-called 'impressed stamp'), they are postal stationery items produced in editions. Then they belong to the main business of the stamp section.
Only the postal services are authorized to issue such items with pre-printed postage. As a company or printer, you cannot simply make and sell a card with something that resembles a stamp (with postage value) and then hope that the postal services will provide the shipping service for it.

If the card contains a postcard without an 'impressed stamp', they can go to the Postcards section.
If the card contains a postcard without an 'impressed stamp', but with a philatelic stamped seal on the postcard side (not on the side for address and text) where there is a certain similarity in theme between stamp and postcard, then they are Maximum cards.

There is a site that lists those maximum cards in the postcards section, the FDCs and postal stationery in a separate 'XXX' section, and the (post) stamps in yet another section (Stamps).
A collector who does a little more philately and collects stamps, postal stationery and manufactured work (FDCs, EDB, EDK and Maximum cards) from certain countries will receive the green curl from such a division.
The theme collector of, for example, WWF or IYC: ditto. Then you're constantly jumping from one section to another, making selections... you're clicking like crazy.

I had just posted a specific question on the administrator forum regarding a yellow postcard. There may be another opinion, with substantiation that escapes me.

Look at Postcards > Yellow postcards/series.
They then have to go to Postage Stamps.
And what do you do with these that do not contain either sender or recipient, but do have a stamp?

These are all postal stationery that already exists in the stamp catalogue.
I don't see any postcards in there.

If it is not allowed for the same item to appear twice on LD:
they are postal stationery and belong in the stamp catalogue. They can NEVER leave there. They are postal stationery, for which you pay in advance for the provision of a service: shipping. Issued by an official postal service, which then provides that service.

They can appear in the stamp section in 2 capacities.
With the emphasis on the postal stationery as a postal stationery.
With the emphasis on the (philatelic) stamping, provided that it is issued on the day of issue, as a first-day card. I know collectors who want such postal stationery in their collection 3 times: virgin (MNH), stamped on the day of issue (EDK) and circulated (canceled or used).
Some are by far the most expensive MNH, others are by far the most expensive. Sometimes up to a factor of 100.

It is up to Rene or Collectioneur to decide whether they will be tolerated a second time with postcards.

An item can never be on LD twice, can it?
Then these are all duplicates?

The intention is that items only appear once in the catalogue.
So the regulations must provide clarity in both manuals (of both sections) about where these items belong. I also seem to remember an earlier discussion about this. Collectioneur may remember whether decisions were made with the administrators of both sections.

Raoul62 Collectioneur because then you get these situations.
#4054993 - 3 x for sale at Postcards (from 1.25 over 2.00 to 3.00 unused new condition) and
#2943359 - 3 x for sale at Stamps (from 0.25 over 0.75 to 1.25 MNH).
There is even 1 seller who offers the item with both stamps and postcards.
So as a potential buyer, you should always look in 2 sections, right?...

It's always fun to have such discussions during holidays and that the collector's world will catch fire if a decision is not made immediately.
Specifically, I looked at the Yellow Postcard series at Postcards and these are indeed items that belong in Postage Stamps. I'll transfer that today.
[Edit - The 22 items in question are now included in the Yellow Postcard issue in Stamps]

That issue name does not comply with the rules. I'm afraid that in this section they will all be scattered across different series, without an easy way to show them together.

I think so too. With that different issue name, they can easily be scanned and included in the stamp category (especially note/merge where there is a duplication).

Voila. They have all been examined and found wanting. None will survive (all DOUBLE) .
Now it's up to postmaster to unleash the merger mill.

I noticed something else, but oh well... peace on earth first...

Always fun, such discussions during holidays
Seems normal to me. When does one have more time to look at something? Not on a normal working day.
And many items raise eyebrows if you think about them a little longer :) :) :)

I think so too.
Raoul62 I'm curious ;-)

There are 20 cards in the Yellow Postcard Issue. If these duplicates are merged with the existing items, they can now be found under these Issues:
2011 The Bluecoats

My question: how should I filter to get those items in one overview?

With a filter on Belgium and Postal Stationery you can go a long way.
Then you will also see the other items that fall under that heading.
All postcards with pre-printed postage already on them.
For convenience, the Michel catalog number is also mentioned everywhere. And the code of the catalog for Postal Stationery specialized for Belgium (in details).

With the additional theme 'Strips (Comics)', insofar as that theme has been added to those postal stationery, you will see an even more well-defined selection.

Furthermore, everyone is free to add information that contributes information and is not yet included. The artist of a comic strip, for example at Theme Persons, ...
Anyone can also add references that may be missing.

That doesn't make much sense. It is the same everywhere, and also the same for the stamps, blocks, series, se-tenants, bridge pairs, booklets, sheets ...
The official postal service. He is the only authorized person to issue securities. A stamp, booklet, sheet, postal stationery, ... is a valuable paper. It has a certain monetary value. With which you can pay for the service (shipping) (proof of payment).
Then you still have to filter by Postal Stationery, and then by Theme.
