How long will negative feedback remain, feedback that I believe was incorrect?

retep , Feedbacks remain. If feedback feels very unjustified, you can report this to us via the contact form with arguments. Please report in time. Then we'll look at it. By the way, receiving less feedback once in a while is not a bad thing. You have a percentage of 99.8% and a lot of positive feedback. Then people really look past poor feedback.

Rene

Perhaps a mechanism could be built in so that for many shops, the 'dragging' of a lesser experience (whatever the reason may be) does not haunt the user forever?
Also to avoid possible GDPR conflicts. Is it fully in accordance with the GDPR guidelines that evaluations (which are personal) last forever?

e.g. make evaluations older than 5 years automatically disappear or possibly only be visible to the evaluated person, and allow the calculation to evolve only on the visible part (up to 5 years ago).

e.g. only the last 500 evaluations...

Who the hell is going to watch over 500 evaluations...that's 20 screens full!

Evaluations are motivating up to the point that one goes wrong. Then a shop owner (paying or not) can eventually get the feeling: 'Oh well, one more or less ... it will NEVER work out again (remains < 100% forever)'.
With the prospect that it can get back to 100%, perhaps we will step up our game (e.g. larger shop = higher subscription...) to work towards reaching that top again.

Just an idea. I'm a bit behind, as always.

This discussion has been had before on the Raoul62 forum
Everything has pros and cons.
If you have enough positive feedback, then negative feedback once in a while is really no big deal. Buyers will see through that. And if it is very unjustified, the seller can always contact us.

retep I just looked at your reviews and the only negative one I could find is from 2018, which is not 2 but 5 years ago (and also from a user who no longer has an account on LD).. Like Rene already indicates, I really wouldn't worry about that.. 1 or 2 negative feedbacks among 98 positive means nothing to me personally (just to cite an example), especially if the first ones were from years ago.. Potential buyers will only go through the scroll through the first 3 pages and then their image is already well formed.

Rene Is it possible - just like on Ebay - to build in the ability to click on someone's negative and/or neutral feedback - You don't have to scroll either.

thorgal57 is right: The percentage says a lot to me as a buyer!
I do take a bad feedback score into account!
But even as a small seller you suffer a lot from the percentage of bad feedback.
I now have 1 bad feedback out of 40. Feedback score is 97.5%. I need to get good feedback at least 650 times to get close to 99.8%.
You never get bad feedback again or you have to make a deal with a buyer to "buy off" the bad feedback

pinekop, I wouldn't lose sleep over that. As a buyer, I really don't mind negative feedback once in a while. Certainly not if the seller - as you do - puts the feedback into perspective by giving a good response.

That's what I meant by "it will NEVER work out again"

Of course 98 or 99% is very nice. But the personal stain continues to haunt you. You can stand on your head, it will NEVER go away.

What I occasionally see is that sellers ask 'what should I do about that negative...'
A possible answer to that could be "Pay 200 euros and we'll keep quiet about it"...
There are also users who then cancel their account. Sometimes permanently, sometimes to start a new one that is free from that eternal contamination. There was something like this recently on the forum, with an additional question as to why it took so long before no one placed an order in that new shop....
These old accounts are often not deleted by the person involved.

I think retep has the legal right (GDPR) to request the deletion of those negative personal comments. Even though it is 5 years old within 3 days.
LD also cannot prove that those negative comments were actually added by a third party. After all, that user's account has been deleted. And, again because of GDPR, no association or company is allowed to keep the original data of that person.
The burden of proof certainly does not lie with the user. Then do you know where it is?

retep pinekop I understand that as a seller you like to keep your customers satisfied and would prefer to see this reflected in a high positive feedback percentage. But as a frequent buyer on LastDodo, I pay little attention to this. 99.8% or 82.7%, it doesn't matter to me. And if it still feels uncertain, I will keep a (first) order small. Only when a percentage is below 60% do I ignore a shop (and even then not always).

By the way, I am not in favor of giving negative feedback. If there are problems with an order (and I have certainly had them), I contact the seller. That often leads to a solution. And as soon as an order has been received, I give positive feedback, regardless of the history (because it has then been resolved). I have only given a neutral review twice, once because an order was canceled by the seller, and once because a seller did not respond to an order.

And I also know: no matter how hard you try, there will always be negative people. And again, I understand that that doesn't feel good for you as a seller and may also be unfair, but then you know, like $$$2$$ $ already said that most buyers see through that. At least I do
