#7108783 as an example
Entering an omnibus is quite difficult. I also see books entered in the catalog with the title only: Omnibus. That is very short sighted. In itself not even such a problem, an edition by author, if you are looking for it or want to put it in your collection, can be found in the LD catalog with a little patience.
Just the Kievite omnibus, which has already been introduced. As a title I would have chosen "C.Joh.Kieviet large omnibus of historical stories". The series is series Classic children's books so that is correct. The front cover contains the original titles, then the question is how to include them? With a + and space next to the title after C Joh Kievit, etc. or only with original titles with + and space (I have used the latter once, but I don't think it works well if you click on the field for those different titles) Can also Enter titles for stories.
Perhaps entering books does not listen very carefully, but I think the question is worth it.

Translate to EnglishDo not start the title with the author's name.
In an omnibus by Been in the same series, the author's name had been filled in and we promptly had a duplication (now removed).
In your example it is better to enter the titles as subtitles and possibly also as stories. The title of the book seems to be Large omnibus etcetera. You cannot add titles from the original books to that. They are part of that Great Omnibus and so cannot be equivalent titles.

I actually came up with it when I recently supplemented some Pietje Puk booklets.
Did you see omnibuses here that sometimes literally only got the title "omnibus", that's not right, is it? https://www.lastdodo.nl/nl/areas/3157879-pietje-puk-omnibus
I now see after all these years that an important field "title" is not part of the search system. Original title. That must have a purpose? Because if a title such as omnibus is wrong, it is difficult to find where all the incorrect entries are and they will remain uncorrected. So if you search "search the book catalogue" you will not find the entries "Omnibus".

Translate to EnglishI would rather enter them here as stories, as subtitles make it so busy and not necessary once the stories are filled in
The big advantage of filling in as a subtitle is that you can see at a glance which books/stories are in the omnibus. The objection that you find it so busy is a matter of personal taste. Clarity is my preference.

We have agreed that if an omnibus consists of books, this can be written out with the original title (with +s between the titles). This is - in my opinion - a good solution for the time being.
We then use the title: Omnibus, although: if it's up to me, Jan Mens Omnibus can be used and the original title is the written books.
If an omnibus consists of stories, this does not apply.

Yes, I was wrong, the gray brains again ... The search system works fine in my opinion, which field something has been entered in terms of title or stories, etc., it can be found. If omnibus is also allowed as a separate title, then so be it, but it is strange and bare, an omnibus is not a title, at most if a separate book were really named that way and what you say consisted of stories that had never been published in book form before. have been released. So I'm definitely not crazy about "omnibus". If original titles with the + yes and/or stories have been entered, if necessary with comments, then the books can be found. And that's what it's all about.
