Perhaps when choosing the status Paid to the buyer you could indicate that it is ready and then set it to Shipped after collection?

I received an order yesterday which I have just sorted.
With this new event everything has become more confusing.
Buyer places 2 orders of stamps from different countries, but this order has mixed everything up. Normally such an order was in alphabetical order, now there is no need to tie a knot to it. I've had to get out of the closet 6 times about Germany's album. And this for an order of only 39 stamps. What will it be if I really get bigger orders.
Posted an order this morning because it was paid, but how do I process this in the system as paid and shipped?

I use the option collected not only for orders that are collected from me, but also for shipments to a collection point.

For that I first chose the option "Sent" and when the package was collected the option "Picked up". A major additional advantage of this is that for shipments abroad, an email for feedback was sent immediately after the status change to "Picked up". (And not after 14 days)

I don't think it's right to set the status to shipped after collection at my home. But as mentioned, I use the status "Picked up" not only for orders collected at my home, but also for shipments to a collection point.

STAMPOUTLET , this is about the order of the items on the detail page of the order (which says "order" with order number" above? How were the items ordered before? What's in alphabetical order? Or first ordered by country and then alphabetically?We can still extract it from old code, but I'm curious how you remember that.

The status "Picked up" provides clarity for me and the buyer that the shipment has been collected. It does not seem right to me that this status is only intended for collections at home. It was not clear to me that it would only be for take aways at home. I believe can also be used for pick-up at a pick-up point. And when Corona is over, the collections might increase again.

I'm just stating that I'm missing the "Picked Up" status in the new Layout and why I think it's a good idea to add it back to the status options. Whether it will be added again I leave to the wisdom and numerical insight of LastDodo.

My first reaction is: that I am not super enthusiastic about this. Apologies for this. Where you used to have a nice overview, you now have to choose a filter to get to where I want to be.
