When those brackets are replaced by square brackets, what happens to that bracket in the Songs, does something happen to it or does it stay that way?

That field is a different type of field, administrators cannot create aliases for it either. The (brackets) do not need and are not replaced.

About the Engraver Schofield.
He now stands as Schofield, Louis Sartain (1868-1936)
Must be Schofield, Louis Sartain (1868- 1938)

And he's aged two years!
Can you name a source? I find 1936 as the year of death everywhere on the internet. But yes, once a spelling error, it is immediately copied endlessly incorrectly.

You can find him here.
I was always unsure about the year of his death because he worked on the 1938 presidents series.
Greetings John.

Yes, I told you that he had already aged two years :-D
But I know from experience that internet sources  are often not checked for correctness, which means that they are in principle not reliable.

I don't want to get involved in it at all and I'm certainly not familiar with the engraving world, but if I'm interested I'll do this :

You're welcome ;-)

Then it must be 1936.
Then he has already engraved the Vignette of the 8 cent stamp of the 1938 Presidents Series in 1936.
Leike-w
Thanks Leike for looking it up, have now also found the newspaper, is from November 1, 1936.
Greetings John.

Leike, good job.
John, I'll fix it. I already had your thoughts about the 8c seal in mind. Such a long-running series has of course already a few years "history",

The year of birth is 1871 and not 1874.

Looks perfect anyway.
Now only Loriot has to adjust his background pages and then it's all good.

Make it Loizeaux, Elie Timothée Sr [1873-1956]. Can there be no confusion with the son of the same name.

Thank you Dick.
Yes, that is the same person, there are also some of those series that have not yet been filled in at all, I am not so sure whether those stamps exist, are imperforate on one side, (I think the perforation is cut off on one side) I still have to find out, maybe if you have time you can do this too.
I first went for the main series of 16 pieces, they are good now.
Please contact Loriot if he will make a background page for this Series.
Regards John.

I think I once read that American sheets were printed very tight on the sheet. When applying the perforation, a row of perforation holes on the outside was not applied, because that was pointless. The consequence is that those stamps of the outer row lack perforation on one side and we are presented with 8 "variants", which are sometimes mistakenly mistaken for booklet stamps. Can't cite a source unfortunately; maybe a 40 year old Scott, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

Can someone add the pseudonym Julian Key to Keymolen, Julien ?! Thanks.

Additional question: I have (from #5060879) a link with this designer, but on that page I don't find a link to "Related sections". Is that normal for the stamp section?
