De LP is wel te vinden:
http://www.discogs.com/Chet-Baker-Chet-Baker-And-His-Quintet-With-Bobby-Jaspar/release/10389741
The LP can be found:
http://www.discogs.com/Chet-Baker-Chet-Baker-And-His-Quintet-With-Bobby-Jaspar/release/10389741
I doubt the correctness of the year of publication. It could well be a later Dutch reissue (in the period 1956-1961?).
Addition:
According to Discogs, Artone only started to press gramophone records in 1958 and that were 7 "records. With the 12" LPs they would not have started until 1962, which does not seem to fit with the mention "Jan 61".

Tweede aanvulling:
Second addition:
@Quaestrix: Are you sure it says "jan '61"? The 1 could also be a quickly written 3.
P.S. The years mentioned by Discogs are also listed on the website of the record press, now called Record Industry.

I initially saw 67 but that might be premature

@Dick: I think you are right, 67 is indeed the most likely.

@Dick:
Goed gezien, Dick!
@Dick:
The version of your link is the original French one, so that doesn't help us with the dating of the Dutch one either.
Stupid that I didn't see that the Discogs was the same. Good sight, Dick!
Groet, Ed
Hello @vertigo and @ Dick52, I put it on Discogs yesterday idd, you found it, it is also in the Catawiki db, the year is uncertain, it is probably a reissue and I understood from Discogs that it probably a bootleg Barclay, because of the different black Barclay label.
Maybe it is 67 instead of 61, you could see that in it. No idea if it's mono or stereo, can I find out somehow? there are no other features on the cover, the cover looks exactly the same as that first French pressing from 1956 on Discogs.
Those matrix / runout codes can I do something with that? Do bootlegs also have those?
I have already been in contact with Record Industry in Haarlem, but they have no further archives of Artone, so I will not get any further.
info from the fb vinyl collectors groups or Chet Baker groups where I set him up.
What else can I do to find out the year? Surely there must also be more known about the Artone label somewhere they have ever released?
Thanks in advance for the help! Regards, Ed

@Quaestrix:
@Quaestrix:
The idea that it would be a bootleg is quite nonsensical to me. The LP was produced and distributed by Artone under license from Barclay. The label used seems a bit outdated, but the word "Barclay" written in this way appears on other Barclay records.
The recordings for this LP were made in 1955 and 1956 in Paris, so it is probably they were mono recordings. The record has no indication whatsoever, indicating that it is a stereo record. In the 60's every stereo record is labeled "stereo", so it must be a mono record.
You have to take into account the possibility that you will never find out the year of release. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of records on Discogs and Catawiki, of which we don't know the exact release date. The record companies of that time often did not think it was important to keep these data properly. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack or rather in a hundred haystacks.

Maybe Pete Molenaar knows more about this. After all, he's a jazz fanatic ;-)
I don't think he reads the forum, but you can always send a message.
https://www.catawiki.nl/collection/edit?area=852b6129422666f7a3e489ec752bd405c94385c7&id=89458345&user=Quaestrix
I have now added it to the db, I don't know if this link is visible.

And I had several people look at the written text and almost everyone sees 61 in it, for what it's worth.
Rob van Leeuwen is an expert on the Artone label, I emailed them and someone from Record Industry tipped me to contact this club: https://www.de-weergever.nl/
According to the expert Rob van Leeuwen (the writer of "The World Of Artone"), Artone held Barclay's rights for the Netherlands for a very short period of time (May 1959 to February 1960). a number of EPs and LPs released by Artone (first with Artone logo later with Barclay logo as on this LP by Chet Baker) This LP was released in the Netherlands at the end of 1959.

Thanks for the update. We just don't know yet how it is possible that it is claimed on the internet that Artone only started pressing LPs in 1962.
