We werden deze week door zijn zoon ingelicht dat Kees Heijnis na een kort ziekbed is overleden. Kees (Elastokees) stond aan de basis van onze rubriek Speelgoedsoldaatjes en heeft daar vanaf het begin zijn stempel op gedrukt als superbeheerder. Wat daarbij enorm hielp waren zijn glasheldere analyses, ook op het forum, die hij veelal formuleerde vanuit zijn indrukwekkende documentatie. Persoonlijk heb ik zeer plezierige herinneringen aan onze overleggen en mailwisselingen van de laatste jaren. Hij wist exact waar hij mee bezig was. Kees is trouwens ook nog enige tijd veilingmeester geweest.
We zullen hem missen.
This week we were informed by his son that Kees Heijnis died after a short illness. Kees ( Elastokees ) was at the basis of our Toy Soldiers section and has left his mark on it from the start as a super administrator . His crystal-clear analyzes, also on the forum, helped enormously, which he often formulated from his impressive documentation. Personally, I have very pleasant memories of our meetings and email exchanges over the past few years. He knew exactly what he was doing. By the way, Kees was also an auctioneer for some time.
We will miss him.

Kees heb ik destijds leren kennen als eerste veilingmeester voor het opzetten van de speelgoedveilingen. Zeer gedreven en enthousiaste man, maar zeker ook zeer eigenzinnig:-)
Met zijn lange levenservaring en bijzonder groot gevoel voor humor, heeft hij veel bijgedragen aan de teamspirit bij de veilingmeesters en het opbouwen van de Catawiki catalogus.
Familie, zeer veel sterkte toegewenst bij het verlies van deze unieke man.
I got to know Kees at the time as the first auctioneer to set up the toy auctions. Very passionate and enthusiastic man, but also very stubborn :-)
With his long life experience and exceptional sense of humor, he has contributed a lot to the team spirit among the auctioneers and to the building of the Catawiki catalog.

Dit was voor mij als een donderslag bij heldere hemel. Dit heb ik zo onverwacht niet zien aankomen. Hij heeft ook de laatste weken geen bericht (kunnen) sturen dat het niet zo goed ging.Ik heb Kees leren kennen als een fijne behulpzame medebeheerder van deze rubriek speelgoedsoldaatjes. Veel opbouwende discussies hebben wij samen gehad over wat de definities van speelgoedsoldaatjes zouden moeten zijn. Hij was een pur sang verzamelaar van de eerdere kunststof uitgaven van Timpo en Britains, daarnaast met grote kennis van de vooroorlogse composiet figuren van Elastolin/Lineol. Altijd loyaal tov zijn medebeheerder achter de schermen. Ik zal Kees heel erg missen, hij is op zijn verzamelgebied onvervangbaar. Kees bedankt voor de samenwerking.

This was like a bolt from the blue to me. I did not see this coming so unexpectedly. He has also not been able to send a message in recent weeks that it was not going so well. I got to know Kees as a nice helpful co-manager of this section toy soldiers. We have had many constructive discussions together about what the definitions of toy soldiers should be. He was a pur sang collector of the earlier plastic editions of Timpo and Britains, in addition with great knowledge of the pre-war composite figures of Elastolin / Lineol. Vervelend bericht bij terugkomst van vakantie. Kan me alleen maar aansluiten bij de vorige sprekers. Kees gaat zeker gemist worden.

Heb vooral met Kees te maken gehad ten tijde van het opzetten van wat inmiddels 'zijn' rubriek is geworden, de speelgoedsoldaatjes.
We konden het niet altijd eens worden over de optimale indeling van sommige onderdelen. Maar de discussie was altijd interessant, Kees' verzamelaarshart klopte hard en hevig. Hij gaat hier zeker gemist worden.

I mainly had to deal with Kees at the time of setting up what has now become 'his' section, the toy soldiers.
We couldn't always do it agree on the optimal arrangement of some parts. But the discussion was always interesting, Kees' collector's heart beat hard and fierce. He is definitely going to be missed here.
