Are this item 886317 and this item 886321 model cars or“ Action figures / Figurines ”?
They are now also in the Disney section (879095 and 879083) together with a whole series of similar objects.
Soon the section “Action figures / Figurines” will be launched.
Should these kinds of cars now go to the new section or stay with the cars?
I see a lot more of these items with the cars.
It seems especially important to me how collectors of these types of objects themselves perceive them.
I see that collector Tintin has many Tintin figurines as well as many Tintin cars and no other model cars.
I also think such a Goofy car is especially fun if you save Disney.

Only model cars with a direct link to a cartoon character are of interest to me. The above items + a number of Matchbox cars have been brought in by me at Disney and not with model cars (but made a reference to this). The disadvantage is that these cars are then listed under curiosities.

Conversely, it would of course be much weirder if these kinds of cars were to be displayed at Disney as curiosities.
That would be almost impossible to explain to Disney collectors.
Cars of this type as curiosities with the model cars I think much better then.

Difficult to say.
I don't think it's a problem if they are listed under the different categories with a curios link to model cars. Because it often concerns collectors who only save everything from, for example, Tintin. If one time there is a car and the other time only the figure or with a stamp or token, the collector will shred his entire collection across all sections, while it may all have been published by the same publisher.
Viewed from the other side, if someone only saves everything from Bburago, it is desirable that those Disney cars are also right in the model car category, for him or her it is not curiosities.

The problem is indeed much more complicated than I initially thought.
There appear to be items of which it is not desirable for both the model cars and the “Action figures / Figurines” if they are included in the curiosities.
With Batman alone, there are big problems that are not easy to solve.
And there are more sections where these kinds of mutual conflicts occur.
Moreover, this type of conflict will increase as more categories are added.
That is why we are now thinking about ways to show these items in several categories as a normal item without them appearing multiple times in the database.
Until the solution is there, let's leave everything as it is.

As far as I am concerned, Catawiki is greatly simplified on this point. In any case, a (model) car remains clearly recognizable as a car, so: Model cars. I also find model cars / car miniatures too many. Call it either Car Miniatures or Miniature Cars, be it a Tintin - a Pippo, Paperino or a Daf 33. I find Curiosa a very confusing, time-consuming and erratic column. When I search for Tintin in the Model Cars catalog, I am referred to the item Comics & gt; Series / heroes & gt; Tintin. I don't think they expect model cars at Strips.

And that is why searching by theme is so important! I myself am a great Disney collector and therefore collect Disneyana (everything related to Disney). I also have 2 cars from that series and a nice 313 made of metal. I would look for them under Disneyana under model cars.

Coincidentally, I had used examples from the Disney column here, and that column no longer exists.
So now you can only solve that by creating the theme sections indeed.
The issues discussed here are mainly about items like these.

He has just as much right to use the cars as with the figurines/dolls .
So it should actually be in both sections, each with their own input fields, but that is not allowed now, because we do not want any duplication.
