How can I easily take pictures of match brands? put them in a slip-in album? Put on a scanner? How do you keep them straight then? Does anyone have a practical idea? A number of them are still on the wood of the box and are quite warped ...

You must first soak them in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid.

Let them dry on kitchen paper.

After drying, iron flat and smooth with an iron.

Then take a loose leaf from an old stockbook and insert the labels neatly

then you can scan them.

Day ,

I still want to continue because of the deviation.

Use water of max 20 to 30 degrees, as some printing inks (including photos) are sensitive to hot water. Eg the match labels of Rik van Looy, election labels (black and white print photos). Also leave it in water for max 30 to 60 minutes.

-Never throw matchbox wrappers (usually blue) of different colors together.

-I let them dry on a white cloth (towel ), face down. Since glue regularly sticks to the label. And this then sticks to the kitchen paper. Also, don't let it dry too quickly (don't put it on a heating element), they curl very much. During the groging it is best to take a look every now and then, so that you can throw the labels with adhesive residue back into the water.

After drying flat and smooth, I never do. Well n

After drying flat and smooth with a heating element, I never do. After drying, put it in a book, for example, and press it flat with a press (or something similar).

The rest due to scanning with an old stockbook still has to be done, too much ....

Hello Gaajsp

I would also like to comment on the topic of deviating from match labels.

Put them in lukewarm water with a drop of washing-up liquid.

then drying them on the floor under the heating is no problem at all.

After that nice flat ironing of glue residues I never suffer this way.

BX boxes carefully with a stanly snap-off knife (large model light better in hand)

cut loose on the adhesive strip and then iron it flat.

Incidentally, would you be willing to exchange with me?
