In the games catalog the section Quartet games has been somewhat underexposed so far. There are probably plenty of collectors to be found. Which collector would like to throw himself into this as a manager? But putting your collection on Catawiki is great too, of course!

I can't help but tackle the proliferation of quartet, quartets, quartet games, etc.

I will first delve into the terms here on Catawiki, and then I will adjust things.

When you have found a quartet that is already in it, don't forget to change the title to duplicate of .. And then instead of the dots type the CataWiki number of the item with the most information and the best images.

When placing quartets, place an image of the front of the packaging at image 1, image 2 an image of the back and image 3 an image of the deck (the cards). Make sure that 1 of that image clearly shows who the publisher is and that other information is clearly visible.

Good luck with going through the quartets, because there are many duplicate items and / or incorrectly entered items in. Due to poor or little-described information, people cannot find their Happy Families game and so reenter it. This is often the cause of the many double items (duplicates).

Also pay attention to the themes! If you click on the themes in the quartets, you will see a lot of the same or related themes. Actually, that should also include major cleaning.

I am calmly working with it, what I encounter I change, the more I encountered I will have to go back to change / add / remove things.

I haven't encountered many duplicates yet, but that will probably change when I'm done renaming it with Quartetspel to Quartet.

It's still a fairly well-arranged area, there are so many there. catawiki not, especially compared to coins or stamps, just to name classic collection areas.

This does not mean that it is a piece of cake ..

My collection consists of just over 500 at this time. For now I will be busy for a while.

By the way, what happens to duplicates indicated in this way?

There are some administrators they can merge with the others. Collector data and seller data then move to the designated item.

The duplication has been removed.

Nice work, but ..............................

I see to my horror that you have copied pictures from one item to another.

Then it is really not the intention, because that will be copied with the blue C.

So before an administrator does the duplication remove, please check whether the images for the item marked as 'original' are OK. Because in a number of cases these are the images copied from the item marked as duplicate. This must first be corrected before the duplication can be cleared up.

I did indeed add a picture with a few duplicates that was clearly of better quality or provided extra information. I checked very carefully that they were indeed duplicate, and contained the same information.

But I wouldn't mind if someone else took a good look at this.

I will do it differently in the future.

I don't think you fully understand it yet. So I haven't explained it clearly enough.

It is perfectly fine to replace pictures with better pictures. That falls within the Wiki process. What is not good is if you pick that picture from catawiki. When you pick a picture from Catawiki, you can copy the blue C. If you use it elsewhere, it is not immediately noticeable because a C is put over it again on the screen. But then there are two over each other and the bottom one is in the image itself. Only administrators can move and copy images within Catawiki without the Blue C, but users cannot.

You cannot be blamed in this case. You have clearly indicated that you were going to work with those quartets and an administrator should have guided you better

Yes, and that is precisely the problem. I have also looked at it, but I am not an administrator. I can get the images without CataWiki C. And the quartets and games in general only have 2 administrators
