No matter how well a site is set up, unfortunately it sometimes happens that a won and paid lot is not sent!

Who has 'bad' experiences with that?

My complaint is therefore directed against a provider who has been waiting a month with all kinds of excuses to send a package of almost 40.00 Euro.

My opinion is that I can now reclaim my money from Catawiki there they have taken on the 'entrepreneurial risk' of making money from auctions. Although they are merely the vehicle (intermediary) between demand & amp; supply and supplier and customer (that is me), I believe that in default of one of their participants, they are responsible for indemnifying enthusiasts who have bought and paid for an item in good faith through their auction!

I am now actually no longer interested in my lot, if there is a chance that I will ever receive it again!

Please react .....

Bvd and Vr.Gr. PeterB. to Strijen

I will contact you to see what we can do about this. This is obviously not the intention.

Edit: we now see your complaint here in the email and will get back to you soon.

@ hoving55, have you been in contact with the auctioneer in question about that? He is the point of contact for such matters.

I shouldn't do that either :-)

It is best to email the auctioneer of the relevant auction (link can be found with his photo in the right column of the auction).

Recently viewed auction Catawiki bought and paid. Catawiki refuses to return the amount on my transfer. In preparation weblogs are about state of affairs with warning and preparation advertisements to inform potential buyers in advance against these practices. I may continue with this.

@bernardina,

Given the seriousness of the accusation, I have briefly investigated what is going on. On Monday, August 26, you have already been notified by the auctioneer that you will receive the money back from us. There was only uncertainty in our administration about the bank account to which the amount should be transferred because we received conflicting information about it. As you know, you and your wife have already been contacted about this this morning so that we can now pass it on to you today.

I bought a work of art for € 160 excluding auction and shipping costs. It was found to be damaged upon arrival and I immediately contacted the sender, jonvesnl, via Catawiki email on 29.08.2013, requesting that I return my purchase price and reimburse my costs so that I can return the item.

I haven't heard anything yet. I assume that the payment will go through Catawiki?

I would like to hear from you.

Kind regards,

Albert Melchers

@Albert, It is best to report this to the relevant auctioneer so that he is aware of this problem and can take action or have it taken.

After I have extensively complained to both the administration of Catawiki and the auctioneer of the record auction about the failure to send a purchased and paid lot, I am making one last attempt here before I go to one of the consumer programs on television.

I bought a Frank Sinatra box at the last record auction as a birthday present, counting on the stated delivery time of 1 to 3 days.

Now, 10 days later, the birthday has passed and I still have not received the purchased object, there has been no response to my e-mail to the provider and, moreover, it is now also very quiet from Catawiki after my request for a refund of the amount paid .

I have bid and paid through your auction in good faith and simply expect my money back. My giro number is known to both the administration and the auctioneer.

You can also follow the mail correspondence with them.

With fri gr,

Nick Kalberg

But why should people always threaten the Consumers' Association? They can complain on the forum and correspond with the auctioneer. They also expect the providers to be all professionals. Ordinary collectors can also offer something and they simply do not always have time. I think some have to deal with everything on the weekend. So there is a maximum response time of 5 days in between and something can come in between.

It is neater if a seller / provider responds to e-mails and sends a statement or explanation. That is so neat and takes a lot of aggressiveness out of the air. Communication is the key to many problems!

Thank you for your response.

Communication is indeed the key, but if it has been missing for days and

as a buyer you can count on the indicated 1 to 3 days shipping or contact time then you can sometimes get angry.

However, I immediately received a response from Rene, after which I trust that it will end well. So it can also be done.

Matter of attitude, behavior. It does not matter whether you are a pro seller or collector. As a collector I sometimes offer something at the auction. Last time unexpectedly 8 days to the UK, just when something was being auctioned on the day of my departure. Then you still keep an eye on the e-mails of the administration and the buyer could immediately be notified that the shipment is a week later. Where there's a will there is a way. If the lot has been scheduled, you can already pack the items. After payment it is only shipping, it does not take that much time.

Fortunately, I have no negative experience, arrange for fast shipping yourself, but I have plenty of time and I live less than five hundred meters from the post office.

Catawiki will hold the money for a number of weeks / days so that the seller has time to send the lot, then indicate this, the buyer then has the time to indicate that he has received the lot.

If in that period of e.g. 2 + 2 weeks a complaint is received from one of the parties, then Catawiki can still hold the money? and if the parties are unable to agree to a refund, I know that will result in a lot of work, but the moment Catawiki receives the money from the buyer, there is a great responsibility there to guarantee a smooth course.

Always using Parcel Stamp with Tracktrace within the Netherlands could be a requirement for the seller, for abroad Europe (cat.1) should also be possible, outside of that I would not know.

Maybe pick up fragile items yourself?

Hello everyone,

Last week I sold something for the first time via the model car auction (1:18 Norev VW Golf CL White)

But, I don't get any emails or something like that of will be sent. Is this normal? I haven't even received an email that he has been sold, and what the highest bid was.

edit: I also don't know any details of the buyer, not where he lives, name, address etc. I have just the public bid number.

Is this normal?

Is this normal?

Congratulations on your first sale.
You have been notified that your lot has been put up for auction. You have also followed the auction and seen that there has been a bid and that your lot has therefore been sold.

As stated in the instructions, you will be notified as soon as the highest bidder has paid. That message contains all relevant information.

Ls,

Please first read the guidelines that Catawiki has drawn up and this really forms part of how the auction works, this is really detailed in the rules.

What I have had to learn is to be patient, because sometimes the buyers are very lax with paying the "won lot" I myself recently had to point out to someone that he had won a lot, paid for it but still not picked it up.

The buyer then said he knew nothing about it, but if it was, I could send that lot, together with another lot that he had also won in the meantime.

Done that way, no problem.

As a purchasing collector, only good experiences on Catawiki. Received everything as described.
Thank God late paying buyers are also increasingly an exception. Catawiki is therefore on top of this.

As a sender, I have sometimes sent a package too late due to circumstances.

Hence this tip:

If your lots have already been approved, pack these items for shipment immediately.

In this way you can sometimes even ship your items after 1 day after receipt of payment.

cw is now a lot better on the payment, they also have an official contract with a collection agency

and an automatic reminder after 1 week also saves a lot

I am trying but passed here.

Until now I am still waiting for a shipment. Paid on

23/01 / 2014.

They would have told me if it had not arrived around Thu 6/01/2014

another email to their they will block the payment.

AL 2 times an e-mail to Catawiki.

Without answer. It is now 12/02/2014.

Would like to know if that payment has now gone through to the seller.

Of course it is easy. If a problem pops up somewhere, we pretend we don't know about anything

. And I have paid and have not received anything.
