In this case it says Amsterdam-C. and Amsterdam/C. That's the difference I guess.

That is indeed a problem with these labels (so-called Mignon labels), which have been marketed in large numbers. No cliché was made, so when the customer ordered a new batch of boxes, a new mold was made. The position of the letters and numbers could then differ from the original label. I don't know whether all these details are also in the catalogue, I don't have that catalog either. Perhaps collectors from Belgium can add something to this, these labels were mainly found in Belgium. I do not know whether the catalog mentioned is a Dutch or Belgian edition.

When looking up match labels, the difference is sometimes barely visible in the photo. There is a reference to the catalogue, but because I don't have it it is difficult to offer the right item in the shop. Example G. Verweij in the Groenendijk catalog 1999 V3-18 and V3-19.
Does it have something to do with the paper color?
Can someone give me some explanation?
Thanks in advance;

Look at the home page. Click on All categories (72) at the top right. Scroll down a little and see Match marks appear at the L. Click on it and you will end up in the match brands section. On the left under the Brands heading you will see Mill. Click on it and you will see all matchboxes from Molen (which have been registered in LastDodo so far). Click on an image and you will go to a detail screen where you may see a seller of the item in question at the top right.
Good luck and have fun.

Hello everyone here,
I am new to the forum and have a question: I am looking for the complete mill series. Can anyone give me advice on which fair to visit or does anyone know a seller?

Thanks in advance

Then you can enter the Melior brand. That is now known. If other names come up later that are more convincing, we can simply change the brand name.

Leike-w thanks. The labels I own are not yet in the catalogue. When I have some time I will perform them. The brand of the items already included is missing. I think I know this should be Melior. This name is on the serial card where the labels were stuck.

The 1st photo I took myself after I received them, the 2nd photo indeed not because I don't want to open the package.
I'm going to take them out of the package anyway.

No home industry. The complete set consists of 24 boxes packed in a cardboard box. You bought them for 30 Euro + 7 Euro postage. You picked the image from the French Eb.y site, where the set was/is for sale at 44.50.

Unfortunately I can't tell you anything about the origin legal/illegal and circulation.

Could very well be home business in my opinion.
If it's official it should at least have a copyright on it.

If they are not yet in the Match brands section, please enter them individually in the catalog.
Maybe the administrator janmaas knows something about them.

I recently bought 22 matchboxes with the images of the first 22 books Tintin/Tintin.
Can anyone tell me more about this? I can't find anything about it anywhere. The language on the matchboxes is French.

where could I find that this section has a special field that must take into account (defined) rules when filling in / adjusting?

No one can know, as long as there is no specific manual or that the help text for such fields has been adapted accordingly. This also applies to most sections. Earlier I have already asked for improved texts for the input fields, hereby again the request to improve those texts. Draft texts can be sent to me.

Tammo,
where could I find that this section has a special field that has to take into account (defined) rules when filling in / adjusting?
I did see that there was hot water in it, but couldn't get it. Especially not if one has '02' in front of one and '0012' for another in the same sequence. So there is definitely something behind it, but what?

Luckily I don't collect match brands (yet) :) I think I would have messed up already. But it has caught my attention now... In the manager's shop I see that they are actually not too expensive (compared to Stamps). I will remember this for when the long winter evenings come again. If other members on LD are not ahead of me at that time.
A long time ago in Brussels, 'Unalit' wood boards (pressed wood pulp with glue) were invented to recycle the 'waste' of 'Union Match' (match brand).. .  I have a thing for wood.

Conclusion for new member Daan (yes, your profile is nicely filled!):  Don't touch the 'Number in series' field at Match brands, it could be a disaster. What I wrote was based on ignorance :)  Happy on the forum. Otherwise nobody could correct me and we would have left with it.

My other tips still stand: read the manual and contact the administrator(s). And above all, don't be afraid to do something. Many eyes are watching and will give you a signal if something is not right. And ... that's okay if we make a mistake. As long as we learn from it. I'm learning every day (thinking through lol).

You know there are only 5 specific handbooks left plus a basic handbook for all sections. It is about the effort that has been deliberately put in for years by expert volunteers. That a solution has been devised for the sorting because of a system problem (that field is not numerical) is fine. By the way, this is done in several sections.

I looked for the manual and couldn't find it. I don't understand the hot water, but maybe there is some thinking behind it. A number is a number, right? A number that determines the order? I only see that number 19 is before number 1, because '0019' comes alphabetically before '02'...
