Pruisen was een Centraal-Europees land aan de Noordzee en de Oostzee. Het koninkrijk Pruisen gaf vanaf 1850 postzegels uit. In 1867 trad Pruisen toe tot de Noord-Duitse Bond. Vanaf 1868 vervingen de postzegels van de Noord-Duitse Bond die van de lidstaten.
