N - IJsland is een staat in het noordwesten van het Europese continent. IJsland is een eiland dat als staat het minst bevolkt is in Europa. Met Reykjavik als hoofdstad wordt het bestuurd als een parlementaire republiek. IJsland was vroeger verbonden met Denemarken. In 1918 werd IJsland wettelijk een soevereine staat, het Koninkrijk IJsland, hoewel het door een Unieakte met Denemarken verbonden bleef, waardoor ze dezelfde koning hadden. Het land verbreekt alle banden met Denemarken in 1944 wanneer de republiek wordt opgericht.

Ayant pour capitale sa plus grande ville Reykjavik, il est gouverné sous la forme d'une république parlementaire. L'Islande était auparavant liée au Danemark. En 1918, l'Islande redevient juridiquement un État souverain, le royaume d'Islande, bien que lié au Danemark par un Acte d'Union qui leur confère le même roi. Le pays rompt tout lien avec le Danemark en 1944 lors de la fondation de la république.
E - Iceland is a state in the north-west of the European continent. Iceland is an island which as a state is the least populated in Europe. Having its capital city Reykjavik, it is governed as a parliamentary republic. Iceland was formerly linked to Denmark. In 1918, Iceland legally became a sovereign state, the Kingdom of Iceland, although linked to Denmark by an Act of Union that gives them the same king. The country breaks all ties with Denmark in 1944 when the republic is founded.
