Stamps #329549 and #344323 contain a surcharge according to the catalog, but I cannot detect it on the stamps. So it was quite a search to find them. Am I looking wrong, do they contain the wrong denomination or is there something else going on with them?

Wasn't that a stamp from 1950? I'll look at it more carefully tonight. At first glance it seemed like a real craft project with recycled materials.
The envelope with an image from 1950 probably misled me.

So I think it's just an FDC.
Yes, of course. Raoul62 completely misses the point.
It's just a stamp postmarked on the first day of issue that sits on an envelope. Complies with an FDC with regard to these matters:
An FDC is an envelope that is stamped with stamps and provided with a date stamp with the same date as the day of issue of these stamps. Items meet the following conditions:
Unfortunately, it meets neither the first nor the second condition:
1. An FDC consisting of a regular envelope is only included in the catalog once per Issue group.
2. An FDC that consists of an envelope specially produced for the stamp issue may be included in several variants.
This envelope was not specially created for the stamp issue. Since the product does meet the basic definition, I would certainly include the item in the catalog. But whether this is just once or in multiple variants remains a question mark.
And btw, every FDC that is not composed of a normal (= blank) envelope is a commercial product, so I don't understand all the fuss from Raoul62.

I think Raoul62 . The stamp with print was issued on February 10. Published 1953. For help to the victims of the flood disaster. #10319193 has this date. So I think it's just an FDC.

Is a real issued FDC from JP Boom. It is listed in the special catalog of the NVPH 2006-2011 and also in the catalog of the first letters of Avezaat and Okker (1985-1986). The FDC is depicted in the special catalogue.

You forgot to add Raoul62 to your message that this is a personal opinion!. Collectors may accept your message as truth, and of course we don't want that.

"alternative FDC"

I have the impression that everything is possible in the Netherlands. Perhaps you can now issue an FDC with a stamp from 1946?
'Memorable' memory of the disaster... the cover is a disaster in itself.
Completely in the style of the time: it couldn't be freaky enough to get 'exclusive' made pieces for your collection.
If the PTT made this, then at least they made something from it (cobbled together with surpluses).

The commerce industry wanted to benefit from the flood disaster of 1953. All store daughters (residual stock) were used so that they could be sold to collectors. Stamps and the surplus of unused 'FDC' covers from 1950 were also gladly used.

Something for the 'Other' section with the object 'Misplaced joke' or something like that. It says 'First Day of Issue' in large letters. Difficult with a stamp from 1950...
Place the cover in a dovecote for a few days until there is enough... you know... on it. Then you can possibly turn it into Pigeon Post. Very special :)

Another small note westfriesland-stamps, it is also possible to make a link from First Day Stamps(3) (so Other Postmarking) to the stamps section. You can then go directly to the details of the stamp (and shop), from your first day of stamping and vice versa is also possible. See for example #10319759 , References to other categories. Don't pay too much attention to the import of this item, as said, unexplored territory!.

By the way (on another note) Postmarking [philately] might be worth checking out for Frenchstamps?. Since this section, due to the postmarking of course, contains more philatelic highlights.

I just saw this coming in: #10319193 . Flood stamp with date stamp on envelope Churches in wartime #3606683 . The black bar on the Flood version is over the original text and Flood has been added.

Although it's a funny idea: isn't this Flood thing just a fake?

Too bad whoever added that item (FDC) in Other didn't use 'Do you know much about this collection area? Add background information '... Very curious about the explanation/background... I can't think of any myself.

what is that “FDC” doing here?
I think this is where one can put FDCs Jummeke, which are not included in the stamp section?.

The stamps/first day cancellations that are now here FDC(25) can better be placed under First Day Stamps(3)

edit, except for two.

Charles1971 Do you agree that something is wrong in Other?
If the stamps are First Day stamps (because not FDC) and the FDC is in the Stamps section, what is the “FDC” doing here?

In the stamps section, there is no further division by type, first day cancellation on stamps westfriesland-stamps. You can of course post images and comments in your own collection. These are then listed under the normal seal. You can also offer stamps with a first day postmark for sale from the regular stamp. The condition is then stamped, it is best to add a comment that it is a first day stamp, and a scan is added.

Another option is the Other - Postmarking [philately] section. Here are the types First Day Stamps(3) and FDC(25) . This is still somewhat unexplored territory, but here it is possible to place stamps with a first day cancellation as a separate item.

FransS Jilles vertigo
Frans, my compliments from this side too, is truly a gigantic job involving thousands and thousands of names and pseudonyms.
These must also be adapted in all four languages.
And I would also like to thank Jilles and FransS for the good cooperation.
And not to forget Collectioneur for the good cooperation in the background, this is going really well.
