Cigar bands/Overview of agreements made until 09/20126 messages

De sigarenbandenrubriek is de afgelopen 12 maanden explosief gegroeid. Hoog tijd voor een samenvatting van de afspraken rond invoer waarover bij de huidige beheerders en de actiefste verzamelaars een concensus over bestaat:

SERIEBANDEN:

Voor seriebanden wordt er van meet af aan met unieke seriebenamingen gewerkt. Dit laat toe om een passend illustratief plaatje per serie te koppelen en een stuk(je) informatieve tekst aan de serie door middel van het veld “achtergrond informatie”. Om gelijkaardige en/of gelijknamige series van elkaar te kunnen onderscheiden wordt er onderscheidende info tussen ronde haakjes (...) geplaatst en/of één van volgende afkortingen in hoofdletters:

•KF: klein formaat

•NF: normaal formaat

•HG: half groot formaat

•GF: groot formaat

•RH: rechthoekig

•ZM: zonder merk

 

FABRIEKS- OF RECLAMEBANDEN:

Bij fabrieksbanden en reclamebanden daarentegen kan de algemene serie 'fabrieksbanden' of 'reclamebanden' gebruikt worden. Deze worden geleidelijk aan verder verfijnd aan de hand van het merk of het type band.

Volgorde tekst: Bij fabrieks- en reclamebanden worden de  gebruikte opschriften in volgende volgorde overgenomen: tekst spiegel - tekst linkervleugel - tekst rechtervleugel,  gescheiden door een koppelteken tussen 2 spaties. Als de tekst die men aantreft op de respectievelijke delen samen een zinvol woord of zinsdeel vormt, worden de koppeltekens en spaties weggelaten.

NUMMERING:

Bandjes worden enkel genummerd als er effectief een volgnummer op het bandje voorkomt. Nummers van de AVB of uit de Romkes  catalogus worden niet in dit veld opgenomen.

Ongenummerde  bandjes kunnen door de beheerders  in een logische volgorde worden geplaatst.

AFMETINGEN:

- De afmetingen worden in millimeter weergegeven. Als eerste wordt de lengte vermeld en dan de hoogte van het bandje. Bijv.: 67 x 28 mm

- De lengte van sigarenbanden van zogenaamd normaal formaat (= ± 67 mm) kan variëren wegens het gebruik op dunnere sigaren. In de catalogus wordt de maximale lengte vermeld. Kleine lengtevariaties worden niet apart in de catalogus opgenomen.

- Daarnaast werd een deel seriebanden van normaal formaat hersneden naar het zogenaamde klein formaat (lengte < 50 mm). Deze worden wél afzonderlijk in de catalogus opgenomen. Achter de serienaam wordt dan tussen haakjes hersneden vermeld. Bijv.: Mission Impossible (hersneden).

 De waarde van hersneden bandjes bedraagt doorgaans 50% van die van het oorspronkelijke normale formaat. Andermaal worden kleine lengtevariaties op de hersneden banden niet apart in de catalogus opgenomen.

 

 

PRIJZEN / WAARDES:

De prijzen  worden bepaald  naar verhouding van de zeldzaamheid.  De kleinst mogelijke waarde die op Catawiki kan ingegeven worden is 0.05 Euro. Bijv. Een bandje in goede staat aan 0.10 Euro is bij benadering 2x zo zeldzaam als een bandje met cataloguswaarde 0.05 Euro.  Echt zeldzame bandjes, veelal banden van voor 1950 kunnen een (veel) hogere waarde hebben.

De velden worden als volgt ingevuld:

Nieuwe staat:                  X  (100%)

Goede staat:                   +- 75% van X                                   

Hersneden staat:            +- 50% van goede staat

Redelijke staat:               +- 50% van goede staat

Voorbeeld:

Nieuwe staat: € 0,15

Goede staat: € 0,10                                      

Hersneden staat: € 0,05

Redelijke staat: € 0,05

TALON BESCHRIJVING:

Op heel veel bandjes bevindt zich (meestal) op het uiteinde van de linkervleugel een wit of gekleurd balkje: de zgn. ‘talon’. Hierop staat vaak info over de drukkerij die het bandje heeft vervaardigd.

Deze info kan aan de hand van de drukkersvelden in de catalogus worden opgenomen en die worden als volgt ingevuld:

                           (indien er niets op het talon staat vullen we ‘Onbekend’ in)       

Drukkersnummer: Geen

      (dit indien er geen nummer staat, anders het nummer)

Drukker symbool :  TSO      (indien er niets op het talon staat vullen we Geen in).

Via het Catawikinummer 3060273 kunt u een aantal van de meeste gebruikte afkortingen/drukkerssymbolen vinden.

The cigar bands section has grown explosively over the past 12 months. It is high time for a summary of the agreements on imports on which there is a consensus among the current managers and the most active collectors:

SERIES TIRE :

For series tires, unique series names are used from the outset. This makes it possible to link a suitable illustrative image per series and a piece(s) of informative text to the series by means of the “background information” field. To distinguish similar and/or similarly named series from each other, distinguishing information is placed between round brackets (...) and/or one of the following abbreviations in capital letters:

•KF: small size

•NF: normal size

•HG: medium size

•GF: large size

•RH: rectangular

•ZM: without brand

FACTORY OR ADVERTISING TIRE :

On the other hand, for factory tires and advertising tires the general series 'factory tires' or 'advertising tires' can be used. These are gradually refined according to the brand or type of tire.

Text sequence: For factory and advertising tires the inscriptions used are taken over in the following order: text mirror - text left wing - text right wing, separated by a hyphen between 2 spaces. If the text found on the respective parts together form a meaningful word or phrase, the hyphens and spaces are omitted.

NUMBERING:

Tapes are only numbered if there is actually a serial number on the tape. Numbers from the AVB or from the Romkes catalog are not included in this field.

Unnumbered tapes can be placed in a logical order by the administrators.

MEASUREMENTS:

- The dimensions are shown in millimeters. The length is listed first and then the height of the strap. E.g.: 67 x 28 mm

- The length of cigar bands of so-called normal size (= ± 67 mm) can vary due to use on thinner cigars. The maximum length is stated in the catalogue. Minor length variations are not listed separately in the catalogue.

- In addition, part of the regular format serial tapes was recut to the so-called small format (length < 50 mm). These are included separately in the catalogue. After the series name, recut is then stated between brackets. Eg: Mission Impossible (recut).

The value of recut tapes is generally 50% of the original normal size. Again, minor length variations on the recut bands are not cataloged separately.

PRICES / VALUES:

Prices are determined according to rarity. The smallest possible value that can be entered on Catawiki is 0.05 Euro. E.g. A tape in good condition at 0.10 Euro is approximately twice as rare as a tape with a catalog value of 0.05 Euro. Really rare tires, mostly tires from before 1950 can have a (much) higher value.

The fields are filled in as follows:

New condition: X (100%)

Good condition: +- 75% of X

Recut condition: +- 50% of good condition

Fair condition: +- 50% of good condition

Example:

New condition: €0.15

Good condition: €0.10

Recut state: € 0.05

Fair condition: € 0.05

TALON DESCRIPTION:

On many bands there is (usually) a white or colored bar at the tip of the left wing: the so-called 'talon'. This often contains information about the printing company that produced the tape.

This information can be included in the catalog on the basis of the printer fields, which are entered as follows:

Example:

Printer: Tilburgse Steen & Offset Drukkerij

(if there is nothing on the talon we fill in 'Unknown')

Printer number: None

(this if there is no number, otherwise the number)

Printer symbol : TSO (if there is nothing on the talon we fill in None).

Via the Catawiki number 3060273 you can find a number of the most commonly used abbreviations/printer's symbols.

I have a problem.

When adding it says "manufacturer". In the search results it says "brand"

But the brand is not always the same as the manufacturer. (many different brands were acquired or released by the same manufacturer)

Now my question is "who or what should I specify when entering next to" manufacturer "?

Nieuwe truc: Je voert een hersneden bandje in (zowel voor- als achterkant), verder geen drukkergegevens of afmetingen. Daarna voer je een plaatje uit een catalogus in als 3e  afbeelding en maakt bij de omschrijving de opmerking dat dit de complete band is. Om de verwarring kompleet te maken vul je de drukkergegevens in van de 3e afbeelding en tevens de afmetingen van de catalogus afbeelding.

Hoe snel maken we er een rommel van....??

 

New trick: You enter a recut tape (both front and back), no printer data or dimensions. Then you enter a picture from a catalog as the 3rd picture and make a comment in the description that this is the complete band. To make the confusion complete, fill in the printer data of the 3rd image and also the dimensions of the catalog image.

Ik ben momenteel bezig de invoer van de Fabrieksbanden Cogétama aan het reviewen. Tijdens het nazien zijn er totnogtoe welgeteld 5 nieuwe bandjes toegevoegd met op afb. 1 & afb. 2, recto en verso van een hersneden bandje uit mijn verzameling en op Afb. 3 een zwart-wit afbeelding van de band op volledig lengte.

De 5 hersneden banden zijn er volgens mij éénduidig die aan volledige band kunnen worden toegewezen. Hersneden banden (enkele 10-tallen) uit mijn verzameling die niet éénduidig aan een volledige band konden worden gelinkt, zijn niet ingebracht. Je kan dit controleren aan de hand van de catalogus Cogétama 2de editie 2010 verkrijgbaar bij de AVB.

Bij het veld afmetingen is telkens de maximale lengte van de band ingegeven.

Bedoeling is dat naderhand de hersneden afb. 1 & afb. 2 vervangen wordt, wanneer een gebruiker zich meldt met de volledige band in zijn verzameling. Afb. 3 en de commentaartekst kunnen dan worden gewist.

I am currently reviewing the Cogétama factory tire imports. During the review, a total of 5 new bindings have been added so far, with on fig. 1 & fig. 2, recto and verso of a recut binding from my collection and on fig. 3 a full-length black and white image of the band.

The 5 recut tapes are, I think, unequivocal that can be assigned to full tape. Recut bindings (some 10s) from my collection that could not be unequivocally linked to a complete binding have not been included. You can check this with the catalog Cogétama 2nd edition 2010 available at the AVB.

The maximum length of the belt is entered in the dimensions field.

The intention is that the recut images 1 & 2 will be replaced afterwards, when a user reports with the entire tape in his collection. Fig. 3 and the comment text can then be deleted.

Fortunately, due to a lack of communication, no dog knows what is going on and how things are done again. I thought this was a catalog for the "community" and not a project for some administrators. I will keep a bit of my distance, so that I do not get in anyone's way.

The forum is the perfect place to communicate what happened here. A message via Catawiki's mail system with a question for clarification / comment.

You won't get in the way of me. The insinuation that a number (we are only three of us, by the way) are not doing community work is, to say the least, ill-considered. We might as well have stuck with our excel lists.
