The thumbnail world uses a different coding for the condition of the model. Perhaps it is an option to adopt this coding:
MB (Mint and Boxed)
“Model in absolutely top condition, in original pakage. (Practically New). These are usually sold at their 100% price, often set by collectors and the known market value of that particular model.
M (Mint) - Model in perfect condition but not necessarily boxed. 60-80% value.
NM (Near Mint) - Model with minor traces of age or usage. 50-60% value.
VSC (Very Slightly Chipped)
Model with minor defects in paint and or parts. About 50% value.
SC (Slightly Chipped)
Model with clearly visible defects in paint and or parts, but still in good overall condition and all parts present. 30-50% value.
C (Chipped) - Model with major defects in the paint and or parts, but with its major parts still present. These are sold at 20-30% value
AT (Almost Trash)
Model with major defects in the paint and one or more major parts missing, such as doors, wheels etc. 0-20% value.

I am not well known in the miniature world, but given the fact that Catawiki is developing into an international catalog I wonder if the same abbreviations are used in Germany and France for qualities. For Dutch users it might be better to use Dutch descriptions, as Catawiki is also intended for "laymen" who just want to see what their property is worth. Are there Dutch equivalents for “SC” and “VSC” etc. or is it very unusual? If the English designations are common here, we could use the English abbreviation with a Dutch explanation.

I recently also have a batch of Dinkey Toys in my possession, just all without boxes. Now I want to add them to my collection, but I don't know which state to assign to them. Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks in advance!

I think state is a personal thing, but my question actually pertains to the Explanation Conditions. This does not say anything about whether or not a box is present. So if a car is without a box, is it immediately not in mint condition and how to judge further from that point? It is just like with the records, there is also little mention about the cover or inner cover.

The cars have yet to be photographed, but if they are not in CataWiki I will of course add them. What strikes me in any case is how little the underside of the cars has been photographed. There is often the make, model and number on it and that is also important for control, I think.

@DM I fully agree with both last sentences. Is a great loss.

forget for a moment a dinky without box can certainly be mint, not played along, no paint splitting good tires

but a nice original box can sometimes double the price

sometimes the original boxes in good condition leave e ... com for more like the dinky that belongs in it

When I didn't collect them yet, I still have a lot of books about Dinkey Toys and its various specializations. I think my father in France has a few catalogs on French Dinkey Toys

Does anyone know whether car miniatures of the c.m.c make are included in the catalog and how to reach them?
