Hello,
I am new to lastDodo and recently found a (rare) promotional single (45 rpm) in the attic. But I can't really find a category where it would belong. The single contains a text spoken by Willem Duys, followed by his recommendation for a certain wine, after which he plays a song by Caruso.
I think the single is quite rare because I have not found it anywhere on the internet. Not here and not on discoggs. So I would like to place it here but have no idea in which category that could be. Hopefully someone can give me a tip here.

Simply enter it in the Records and CDs section at Willem Duys
Quite a few Artists and Bands have made Advertising Plates.

Is it a 'normal' vinyl single or a single-sided flexi disc?

As for the genre: Willem's text = spoken word, Caruso's music = classical: opera.

vertigo It's a normal 45 rpm vinyl single with an A and B side, so not one of those flexible things that used to be hidden in weeklies.
On both sides a number of Caruso preceded by an introduction and (wine advertisement) by Willem Duys. I actually expected that many more were made, but there is no record label on it, hence.

There is also no record label on it.
NickVT That's not unusual for advertising images. Does it say number 85,041?

vertigo That's right. It does say 85.041 on both the label and in the run-out groove.

I found the single in the Warm Sounds section on advertising singles. It was released in 1967 by the company Iramac. A small record company where Willem Duys was director. It is one of at least 3 advertising singles that Iramac released. All from 1967:
85.037 The Ancas - Put a Tiger in Your Tank / The Esso Tiger Hunt (also released as Relax 45.037) for Esso
85.038 Sammy Soul Set - Theme from the cloudy nights / $pring is in town now ($inalco advertising)
85.041 Enrico Caruso (you have Nick) This is a promotional single for Trovador rosé.
Iramac was a production company with a studio, but no pressing plant. The pressing was outsourced to Phonogram, Bovema, Fonior, CNR and Artone, among others. Phonogram pressings can be recognized by the stamped data in the run-out groove. The other companies have scratched data. Artone singles can be recognized by the VR code in the run-out groove.
Iramac's best known label is Relax. Known from The Outsiders
