Rene  Could there be an option where you can actually delete messages?
They currently remain in the deleted folder, you can then archive them and if you delete them there they will be back with the deleted mails, a real trash can (which can actually be emptied) is missing.
Maybe a nice option to add to create folders for the messages yourself so that you can easily find certain things.

Phonocard Morits
We are still working on the Messaging System. Are there any more wishes for Messages?

Collectioneur A contact list would be nice to complement what Morits said.

Well, Collectioneur, if you ask so nicely, I do have a few more complicated ideas.

1.Personal Community
Now all messages come as separate line in inbox and in sent. With regular 'replying' (RE:) many superfluous lines quickly clutter the list.
If possible: give a message an ID (behind) and treat it as a kind of 'thread' (cfr Community ) . If there is a reply, the message will return to the top, as unread (with a new date and time of course). Then you no longer have those redundant previous messages (lines). Everything is in the history of the RE: message anyway (sender, time, title and content).

In short: with chain mail, the previous (incomplete) versions do not have to pollute the overview in Inbox and Sent. Your own Personal Community (or private chat box :)).
This would keep most mailboxes about 1/3 slimmer. Easier to search.
And maybe the development for the Community is recyclable, applied to the personal mail messaging system. After all, on the Community you can also, albeit via the detour of the profile, get the messages of one user together neatly chronologically. Two clicks away.

2. Preparedness
Also nice, to estimate whether or not you have a chance of getting an answer faster, a colored ball (à la Skype) would be great. Poll the sender for the current status of presence: green = logged in and on the site, orange = logged in but not on the site, gray = not logged in.
Maybe too much of a good thing ... if someone's profile already stated 'last time online: dd/mm/yyyy' (logged in + on the site) you would already know a lot more (why an answer is not forthcoming eg. ).
That, however, is another question. On one or another communication course, part of assertiveness, the method of the 'Failing CD' simply stuck in my doings and actions.

But the ideas of Morits and Phonocard would be great improvements on their own.
