I am puzzling with the theme: lions.

In Saint Petersburg there are some bridges with lion statues, for this I sometimes used the theme lions and sometimes animals: lions .

what do you think is best?

I tend to lean towards lions myself, so animals: lions are used for real lions.

also a new theme 'lion statues' could be.

greetings,

I have democratically decided to add a new theme 'lion statues'.

Furthermore, the lion statues can also be found under the theme lions, but not under animals: lions

That's the beauty of themes, you can add multiple themes to 1 item. This improves the searchability of the Catalog and keeps many collectors happy.

Every collector classifies his collection in a different way and wants to find his collection quickly. That is why I think it is useful to also apply the theme Lions to the Lion statues , because they are also lions. But imagery is also good and that brings me to my objection to Animals: lions.

I liked your argument for using Animals: lions for real lions, but it does create confusion. I think it has to do with a future change to the CataWiki database if there is more money to develop on it. I can imagine that people want to go to a subdivision where you choose the theme Animals in 1 column and Lions in the next column. But then you can organize everything, because why not: Statues: Sculptures or Statues: Statues ?

Thank you in any case for your commitment to the Catalog and together we make a complete and complete Catalog!

With kind regards,
