Daar staat nu Doris Dobbel (Marc Sleen) bovenaan omdat ik weet dat die voor dat bedrag is geveild (incl. veilingkosten). Hier graag info over dure strips dus.
As a Dutch person I am naturally interested in the trade :-) I am therefore curious whether the list of expensive comics on the main section page of Comics is correct (for comics in “good condition”). Doris Dobbel (Marc Sleen) is now at the top because I know that it was auctioned for that amount (incl. Auction costs). So please here for information about expensive comics.

En heeft iemand misschien dit album of een scan?
The hardcover version of "Long live the sport!" (Jean Graton, Lombard Collection) also scores high in the most expensive comics category. I think in the Top-5. Only a few of them are known and are said to be trial examples. Does anyone know anything about a recent sale price or asking price for this album? And maybe someone has this album or a scan?
Volgens mij moet je heel erg oppassen met dit soort (bijna?) fantoom-strips. Tot op de dag van vandaag hebben Belgische bibliotheken de gewoonte om hun stripverhalen ZELF te kartonneren (of dit te laten doen door een boekbinder) om de duurzaamheid te verhogen. Het is niet zo dat dit exemplaren zijn die door de uitgever ter beschikking worden gesteld. Naar mijn mening zijn ze als verzamelobject vanaf dat moment volledig waardeloos. Ik herinner me dat Matla zo op zoek was naar een gekartonneerde eerste druk van 'Het Spaanse Spook'. Heeft hij die ooit gevonden?
Daarnaast heb je dan ook nog de werkjes van handige knutselaars die met wat Franse uitgaven aan de slag gaan (schutbladen en dergelijke). In ons tijdperk van kleurenkopieën ook weer een stuk makkelijker.
I think you should be very careful with this kind of (almost?) Phantom comics. To this day, Belgian libraries are in the habit of cartonboarding their comic strips THEMSELVES (or having it done by a bookbinder) to increase sustainability. It is not the case that these are copies made available by the publisher. In my opinion they are completely worthless as a collector's item from that moment on. I remember that Matla was so looking for a hardcopy first edition of 'Het Spaans Spook'. Has he ever found it?

In his latest edition 1998 Matla also speaks of a Dummy 1.1a p. 73
But what is he worth?
I suspect it is rarer than the numbered version? because 150-500 of them were made.

(edit) Sta overigens nog in duplo of je dit als variant moet beschouwen of niet, en of het dus wel in de goede reeks staat. Mijn gevoel zegt me dat dit eigenlijk in een reeks "Lombard dummy's" thuishoort.
But for what it's worth (sic!), There is already a value attached to it. :-)

Is volgens mij geen reguliere uitgave, maar wel een bijzondere uitgave; een soort proefdruk of voorlopig zichtexemplaar. Hoort dan in een apart vakje: zoiets wat Pegag oppert : Lombard Dummy's/Lombard Dummies, of iets in die geest.
I don't think this is a regular edition, but it is a special edition; a kind of proof or provisional proof copy. Then belongs in a separate box: something Pegag suggests: Lombard Dummies / Lombard Dummies, or something like that.
Een dummy is iets dat niet 'echt' is, een surrogaat als het ware. Als de pagina's binnenin blanco zijn, zou ik het een dummy noemen, anders is het gewoon een exemplaar met afwijkende rug. Er zijn er zo nog.
Wat het waard is? De veiling zal het ons leren.
Het is in ieder geval interessant te weten dat sommige van die rare Matla items (zie ook Leve de sport) toch blijken te bestaan.
A dummy is something that is not 'real', a surrogate as it were. If the pages are blank inside I would call it a dummy, otherwise it is just a copy with a different spine. There are more.
What is it worth? The auction will teach us.
In any case, it is interesting to know that some of those weird Matla items (see also Long live the sport) do appear to exist.
Bij een dummie verwacht ik ook meer een boek met een blanco binnenwerk.
Persoonlijk zou ik dit eerder een proefdruk noemen. (zeker als het echt op verschillende soorten papier is gedrukt)
