I am H.J. and I am just new to Catawiki. Am a collector / seller of games and commics. I sold / bought everything on Marktplaats and was referred to this site. I think you can buy purposefully and easily. But selling that is not going well for me yet. I kept putting items on it. But at number 7 nothing more happened. Still have to find out if this site is for me.

Hello H.J.

Welcome to Catawiki

I think it is best to view "How Catawiki works" on the homepage because the way you do it now with placing items is not as intended

If you still have questions after viewing the explanation, you can always do so via the forum

@HJRuiter

ff in short: you place an item in the catalog, without sales information. You can indicate during the entry in the catalog whether the item should also be in your shop, you can also do that afterwards. At the item in your shop you can indicate what is specifically not good about your own copy or what is different from the standard catalog item. The catalog item must always be filled in as completely as possible, even if something is missing from your copy.

but it is not yet clear why you could not perform anything at nr 7 anymore. If you add a photo, it should not be larger than, I thought, 4 Mb. If you use JPG format then it often works fine.

Hi!

I am new, also in the collectors world, as I am only 20 heights young;)

I have always had interest and fascination for - as my father said disrespectfully - 'old stuff'. The reason I never started before was of a financial nature. A girl in college doesn't have much to spend ... yet I have given in to my desire to start collecting, and then the following;

Coins, VOC and Roman Era
Militaria
Ancient books on legal sciences and international law

I am Grandpa Rommelzolder ...
As a retiree, I am starting to get through my pension, despite the fact that I have never invested in stocks. Because I learned that from the crisis in the 1930s ... In addition to my state pension (but also a little under pressure from Oma), I decided to tidy up my cluttered attic during these times of crisis.

It also gives you the opportunity to save money in these tough times and buy second-hand goods at competitive prices. I keep opening chests and cupboards with Grandma, so new gadgets are always appearing in the attic ...

I am 93 years old and my grandmother is 92 years old. We have 14 grandchildren.

Hello everyone I am Kevin and I am from Hoofddorp 26 years old and father of a son.

I collected zippos, not anymore because they are for sale in my shop, I also collect comics and those are actually only comics published by Junior press.

I have a question right away: I used to always save phone cards and I got rid of all of them about 10 years ago except for one, this is a phone card of which only a few were issued, it is a limited edition in connection with the opening from the Hong Kong International Airport, the card is new and never used, now I am looking for a real connoisseur who can possibly tell me exactly how many have been released, or who is interested, how much these are still worth since the mobile telephony has everything adopted.

My compliments to the creators of this site, I think it is a very clear and neat site.

Kind regards Kevin

Welcome to Catawiki

To simplify the discussion, it may be useful to place the phone card in Catawiki, or if it is already there, indicate where it is located.

But with these types of items it is always the question; Where is the value highest, here or in Hong Kong?

Hello Jilles

Thank you for the quick response I have added the card to my collections, just to be clear, I really have no idea if the uberhoubt is worth something and that does not matter that much if I can make a real (honest) collector happy with it create

But I am really curious if I will get responses out of curiosity, the map is from 1998 and I have been browsing Google for weeks, but there is just really nothing to be found about it.

My father received the card 14 years ago from a colleague who was allowed to be present at this opening as a VIP and because that colleague knew that I was saving phone cards and he did not attach any value to them if I had the card from him.

Can someone help me?

I have a Donald Duck booklet that I can't find anywhere:

- Donald's Watch

- 1962

- A 'reading' story richly illustrated.

If it is not in CataWiki then you can / may / must add it to the CataWiki Catalog. Make clear photos / scans of the booklet and fill in as much information as possible. I don't know whether it should be with the books or the comics. There is at least a handy manual for the comics.

If you have posted it, others may be able to tell you more about it.

Let me introduce myself, because I am in the process of adding 1400 books to the catalog!

My name is Herman and my hobby (besides a 50 hours / week job) is selling second hand books via the internet. I buy large batches, add some information per book, and put them for sale in a few places on the internet. I have just discovered this site, and am curious if there are still some interesting customers to be found here.

If anyone is interested: I scan the cover of almost all my books, so I have more than 2000 covers on file. All with title, author and ISBN number! See http://picasaweb.google.com/106519383281746537793/MoesieBooks , http://picasaweb.google.com/106519383281746537793/MoesieBooks2 and http: / /picasaweb.google.com/106519383281746537793/VerheijBooks

Just started a website, 100% amateurish, but the start is there: www.moesie-books.nl

Herman

Dear Herman, welcome to Catawiki and I hope you can also sell a lot of books through this website. Keep in mind that when adding new books to the CataWiki Catalog, a scan of the back must also be added. CataWiki also has a very nice book auction. I believe you can also auction ds eleven books here. Good luck !

Dear All!

My name is Rob and I have been a collector of the Suske en Wiske collection for some time. After many good reports, I joined Catawiki and expect to use it regularly in the future.

Besides scanning the internet, I also regularly visit fairs and it is a challenge to visit various comic shops in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Furthermore, I have been a member of the Fameuze fan club for ten years ... the one and only Suske en Wiske fan club.

Good luck with this forum and maybe to horns ...

Kind regards,

Rob

My name is Hans, I live in Amsterdam and after I lost my collections and household effects in 2001, I recently started collecting again, because it is one of the nicest ways to get through rainy days :-)

I started collecting leaflets, charters, prayer cards, devotion cards, cards, CDV/cabinet photos, magazines, etc., especially from the period 1900-1939. My living room will soon be a time travel with a special calendar from that time when you step inside.

Have a preference for collecting everything that has to do with the Popes, the various Holy Years (1925-1950-1933-2000 etc), pilgrimage sites such as Banneux, Lourdes and Fatima.

Would like to see some changes in the way prayer cards and devotion cards are added, and would also like to see a specific option for CDV/cabinet photos that you can't really add right now due to lack of mention of important matters for that collection area.

I like to browse, and besides putting everything I think others collect on the marketplace, I still believe in old-fashioned trading!

Hello everyone!

My name is Joep and I am 16 years old. I just started active collecting, for a while I kept old coins and foreign coins that I came across, but now I have the collecting virus completely.

I mainly collect coins and some football stuff (eg program booklets and season tickets)

I hope I can also contribute to Catawiki by adding some coins to the catalog.

Kind regards,

Joep

(PS: If I cannot properly identify a coin, (happens to me sometimes with Middle Eastern or Asian coins) in which section can I ask for help?)
