I'm having a bit of an argument with the puzzle manager {a rookie :-)}
He throws out my insert puzzles that I have placed in the catalog because he says they are games. I said that there are already more than 100 inlay puzzles at puzzles and they can now remain (according to him). The new ones have to go with games.
Can it be any more difficult? When I search for insert puzzles I get puzzles and not games, how on earth can I know that they are games???

The manager is not a rookie and it is a shame that you do not want to listen to him. The items you mean are not insert puzzles, but developmental games for preschoolers.
As has been mentioned before, there are items that can be placed in multiple categories. The relevant manager decides on this.

Tammo, As already mentioned my problem is: when I want to fill in an item, I ask in the search where the item could be located and you can say that they are developmental games for children, everyone calls them insert puzzles. That is why I cannot possibly know that I am not allowed to mention them there. But aren't 99% of toys developmental toys?
I call him a rookie because he only has 8000 facts.
Another question: is there really no one who has the authority to transfer a misplaced item to the correct section? Since I don't sell these items anyway, I won't enter them again.
Ernie,
PS Sorry if I seem a bit rude, but I am known for being straight forward

Transferring an item takes more work than re-entering it.
That is why we basically only do this for items that are supported by people other than the importer.

The program works and that is the most important thing.
The difficulty mainly lies in the difference in fields between the categories, which must be handled carefully every time.

Wishful thinking Ernie. Have you ever come across a sugar bag with an ISB number? Or a model car with a story title and 48 pages?
Each section has its own criteria that they consider important; Therefore, virtually no uniformity or standardization is possible.

rikMooren I just mean: the breakdown of puzzles into games is something that is very close to each other and there is uniformity there, the same goes for comics and books
In the event of an adjustment, it can be checked whether conformity is possible.
One too many lines in a section doesn't hurt either (see discussion books with ISBN 10 and 13)

ps if you had to divide the sugar packets section into empty and full ones or (another discussion) the model cars section into cars, planes and motorcycles, this is certainly possible with the same fields

Well, lord, write/create a program...
If you know that, for example, Boekenleggers has 6 fields; and stamps 5 x as much; 29 or 30...
And further breakdown of Model Cars is not necessary.
You have the Type field. And that's even a required field.

According to the Dutch language, the plural of game is - games, but they make an exception:
Do you like board games or ball games ?

I think there is some play in your spelling :)

[edit]
Game is plural in the plural when you talk about the supplies for a game that you can buy in the store.
e.g. 'I need two decks of cards to show you that trick.'
e.g. 'They sell fun board games in that store.'

Game is a noun, with the plural being games.
Play is a verb.

I think it is a 'Learning and development game', if it has a certain educational value that can be considered 'pedagogically sound'. What children are put in their pollen to learn something (knowledge): learning to read, learning to count, traffic education, world orientation (which in primary school includes geography and biology), ...
