Omdat ik nog aardig wat boeken moet invoeren in de catalogus waar ik eerst van moet uitzoeken "wat het is " incluis welk jaar , illustrator ed, kom ik nog steeds wel iets interessants tegen. Ik verzamelde niet alleen bekende jeugdseries echter ook mooie bandjes en vaak als het maar oud was/is. In dit geval een boekje bestemd voor scholen met zo n mooie omslag. Ben geen kunstkenner "Jugenstill " ??

Of toch een fout want in de "advertentie" wordt meaulnes met een kleine letter gespeld, terwijl het dus de achternaam is. Ik heb de catalogus aangepast.

Het vluchtende beeld is inderdaad een andere roman. In de Brinkman wordt de auteursnaam nooit herhaald (daar staat de liggende streep voor), daarom had ik die erbij laten staan.
Bij de eerste druk (1924, als Lyceum-bibliotheek No. 5) stond de naam wel met een hoofdletter:
In die tijd werd alles nog met de hand overgeschreven en getypt, dus er staan heel wat fouten in.
The Fleeing Image is indeed a different novel. The author's name is never repeated in the Brinkman (that's what the horizontal line stands for), which is why I left it there.
In the first edition (1924, as Lyceum library No. 5) the name was capitalized:
In those days everything was still handwritten and typed, so there are a lot of mistakes.
