Wel zouden nog Kenia en Oeganda als naamvariant toegevoegd mogen worden. En eventueel het fout gespelde "tanganyka", hoewel we moeilijk rekening kunnen gaan houden met alle typefouten.
However, Kenya and Uganda could be added as a name variant. And possibly the misspelled "tanganyka", although it's hard to take all typos into account.
Even voor de duidelijkheid. Het gaat mij om de landenlijst, waarin aliassen ontbreken, Bij die landenlijst begint vaak de zoektocht naar de postzegel, die je in handen hebt.

In de NL versie geen probleem, daar is het zoekvak voor:
Opmerking: jammer dat het land als Kenia wordt opgenomen, en bij de gemeenschap als Kenya. Het zou voor beiden Kenya mogen zijn. Met zoeken op Kenia vind je de 'Gemeenschap' niet. Met zoeken op Kenya (dàt staat op de zegels) vind je het land niet. Tgv taalpuriteinse invloeden is het gebruiksgemak hier zoek. Je hebt geen papieren catalogus nodig als je LD hebt. Wel een prisma vertaalwoordenboek Engel-Nederlands.
In de EN versie echter is het idd een probleem. Daar staan de aliassen niet vermeld in de lijst:

No problem in the NL version, that's what the search box is for:

If you search for Kenya (that's what it says on the stamps) you won't find the country. Due to linguistic puritan influences, ease of use is lost here. You don't need a paper catalog if you have LD. A prisma translation dictionary English-Dutch.
In the EN version, however, it is indeed a problem. There the aliases are not mentioned in the list:

Collectioneur I think that is a bug in the country screen for the foreign language versions of LD . Ditto in FR and DU.
Die ontbreekt dus in de Engelse Countries lijst. (Link leidt niet naar de Engelse versie).
In de anderstalige A/Z lijsten worden alleen aliassen getoond, indien ze ook zijn ingevuld in die taal door een beheerder.
aangezien er blijkbaar al vaker over gesproken is de vraag of er bezwaar is om de twee andere volgordes ook toe te voegen?
De beheerders kunnen ook overwegen om als naam "Kenya-Uganda-Tanganyika" te gebruiken en als aliassen: NL = Oost-Afrikaanse Gemeenschap EN = East African Community DE = Ostafrikanische Gemeinschaft FR = Communauté d'Afrique de l'Est

In the A/Z lists in other languages, aliases are only shown if they have also been entered in that language by an administrator.

Raoul62 Beheerders kunnen naamvariaties gebruiken om Kenya (of Kenia), Tangayka etc in te vullen voor de zoekmachine. Of het Kenia of Kenya moet zijn, beslissen jullie.

Ondertussen heb ik ook de anderstalige aliassen van de Zuid Molukken (Maluku Selatan) opgevuld. Die vakjes waren ook nog ongerept. Ik veronderstel als er een NL alias ingevuld is dat de anderstalige vakjes gelijke rechten hebben. anders is het als er nog geen alias is ingevuld. Overal aliassen gebruiken maakt de landenlijst misschien té druk (waardoor het gebruiksgemak vermindert).
Wat als ik 'Kenya' in het NL vakje voor alias bij Kenia plaats, is dat toegelaten?
In the meantime I have also filled in the foreign language aliases of the South Moluccas (Maluku Selatan). Those boxes were also pristine. I assume if a NL alias is entered that the foreign language boxes have equal rights. otherwise it is if no alias has been filled in yet. Using aliases everywhere may make the country list too busy (reducing ease of use).
What if I put 'Ken y a' in the NL box for alias at Ken i a, is that allowed?

Voor buitenlandse landennamen vind ik het handig om de lijst van de taalunie aan te houden. Ik weet niet of er ook dergelijke lijsten voor andere landen zijn.
Helv Goed dat je aangegeven had, dat het bij de NL lijst wel stond. Daardoor kon ik het probleem beter afbakenen :-) Had ik natuurlijk meteen moeten doen, maar ik ging er vanuit dat de lijsten in de verschillende talen synchroon liepen. Raoul62 Bedankt voor de vlotte aanpassingen. Mooi werk.
