At the moment I am adding a number of volumes to the collection again. Now I am adding 4 stamps in bulk as stamped. Then I add these same 4 stamps in bulk as MNH. Now I found out that they were not added to the collection as MNH after that.

I did this a few more times but first MNH and then stamped as. Then only they are added as MNH. If I then add the stamps 1 by 1 to the collection as stamped, it goes well.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello Vincent, I think it always has been.
Once you add a stamp to your collection, you can no longer bulk pick up that same item, even if the new ones are in a different condition.
If for example you add 4 in bulk of which 1 was already in your collection, eventually 3 will be added and the fourth will not.
greetings
Peter

Hi Vincent, I think it's always been like that.
Once you add a stamp to your collection, you can't bulk pick up that same item, even if the new ones are in a different condition.
If for example, if you add 4 in bulk of which 1 was already in your collection, 3 will eventually be added and the fourth will not.

That has indeed been adapted at the request of users who regularly accidentally got duplicate items in their collection due to bulk additions. We can possibly adjust it if many people prefer to see it differently, but it has indeed been deliberately made the way it works now thisismyalias RusCCCP

a combination of an item + condition makes it a unique item. This logic would hold true for items with the same condition in the collection. As an example I have 2 comics in fair condition in my collection and I am adding a series in bulk in good condition. then 2 of these items will not be added with this condition. They will still have to look up both items and adjust the condition.

In practice, they will also have to physically remove these two items from their collection to replace them with the item in good condition. In addition, when selecting for bulk add, it is also already visible that a condition of an item is present in the collection.

The action for adjusting the condition, removing or adding to the shop is almost directly. An alternative could be to add them to the collection, however indicate in the mailing items added, but already exist in the collection. This would notify this group that there are "duplications".

Rene exactly what you indicate, ultimately what works for the largest group.

Because I have only been a member of LD since October, I still have a lot of work to register my collection, to complete the catalog, to complete the shop.
With the first I have now also noticed that bulk adding eg first MNH and then stamped does not work. So I have to redo some of that work!
In short: here is (again) the proposal to also take the condition into account when checking (whether the item is already in the collection). So an item that is already MNH in the collection cannot be added MNH again with the bulk option. But one can add it as stamped..
Who is for / who is against?

That would have saved me a lot of time in the early days.
Unfortunately, I wasn't heavy enough :)
I asked very nicely though...

But, in the meantime, many other beautiful things have been provided and made on LD (really quite a lot). You can't have everything.

Doesn't change the fact that I'm staying 'for'. Of course.

The point is that at the time, precisely at the request of users, we had made it so that with bulk adding you do not add items that you already have in your collection twice.
But if everyone now thinks that this is necessary in case the condition is different, then we can adjust this.

Yep I'm for it. I don't fill in much by bulk myself, but I am a collector of MNH and used, so I see the problem. I believe this collector pjmsijm is also in favour, it has already raised this issue in another forum post.

I only see stamp collectors vote :-)
What do collectors think of other items? There it may be less common to have something in multiple conditions.

Would be great if I could add duplicate items in bulk. I've always worked around it (so 1 by 1)
Once in the collection, I can decide from a nice overview which ones can go.
Incomprehensible that this was ever limited in this way, very uncomfortable!

GOIH101 , you're talking about double strips I assume?

Incomprehensible that this was ever limited in this way, very uncomfortable!
We didn't have this before, but it was added at the request of users (comic collectors). It just goes to show that there are different opinions on everything :-)

Based on your feedback, I'll put this on our list to fix.

One more question:
If something in the same condition is already in your collection and you add it in bulk, should we ignore it or put it in quantity 2 in your collection?
GOIH101 Raoul62 Charles1971 ApiSta pjmsijm thisismyalias retepmijs jogo$$ $8$$$

And I assume anyway always do this what RusCCCP suggested:
An alternative could be to add them to the collection, but indicate items added in the mailing, but already exist in the collection. This would notify this group that there are "duplications".

I would ignore that: if I want to add items twice in my collection, it will always be with specific comments for that item, and that cannot be done in bulk. In that case I would just add extra item by item...

Agree with thisismyalias because when checking the bulk you can already see that the item is already present in your collection. Then you can decide whether or not to check the box. You can also first view the condition before checking the box. If you don't, as jogo indicates, you can still record it (or even in between!) with a specific comment. So as far as I'm concerned add and increase counter (don't set it to 2 as you say Rene because maybe it was already at 3.....).

Please don't increment counter for me. Double is double and I want to see that.
Besides, I take a picture of everything.
On the question of conditions, there are much more quality differences with older items than the five qualifications (with comics, with books even only four) that LD uses.
I can't follow the train of thought either, when adding in bulk the duplicates were then not included so that they were not visible in your collection in LD. But you did have it twice… right?

Straight forward vwb another condition: always make it possible to add it in bulk.

Previously working exceptionally with a signal ('Already in the same condition in your collection -> no extra added').
Why would you add it to your collection twice with the same condition? To avoid a more expensive subscription ... add 'in your collection' to be able to include it in the shop later.
In those circumstances, a little extra work shouldn't be a problem. Then you pay the toll in a different way. No money, no glory :)
I have the impression that shops will be very inventive to have to pay less. And that pays off in the long run. This greatly increases the chance of an 'increase'. Then those creatives pay more again. However, the subscribers who do take it seriously, in fairness, do too. and you don't want that as an honest subscriber.

With stamps it is really a must have. A lot of collectors have areas where they collect both mint and canceled.
For those areas from my collection I know what a hell of a job it was to first determine: where do I have the most of them (add those in bulk) and then add item by item a 2nd time in the other condition.
I'm not even done with that yet. Lack of time ... how could that be.
For myself, however, I have determined that structural work at the top is more beneficial for the entire user group. That takes precedence over my own personal collection. In the long run I will also reap the benefits :)
It's not about thousands of clicks, but about tens of thousands. With that sometimes mistakes. Because the last used condition is kept, and applied to your next click work, which in turn leads to even more numbing click work (checking, figuring out, fine tuning, correcting).

It is always possible that you, as a user, add things in bulk to your collection that were already there. But that is the responsibility of the user.
As ApiSta clearly points out, when you check the box you will see that an item is already in your collection (green icon). Adding it again in a different condition is therefore with full understanding and full knowledge.

(My proposal:
1. indicate and 'Bulk add' = add if it is not yet in your collection in that condition. Do not add if it is an identical addition (vwb condition).
2. In the mail with the overview, clearly highlight those items that were not added (separate group in the mail or with an indication, such as 5 exclamation marks in the line of the item).

In this way, those emails will now suddenly even be viewed, which may not have been the case before. They become functional.

Do you still want to add it a 2nd or 3rd time in the same condition? Manual: item by item (see §2 of this message).
Or as jogo indicates: you do that for a reason, and then you also want to record that in comments for that particular item.

I don't know any collectors who keep the same 100x (item+condition). I do know sellers who want to sell the same (item+condition) 100x.

Raoul62 : Adding again in a different condition is therefore with full understanding and full knowledge.
I would prefer it if it said " Adding again in any condition, even if it is already present, is therefore with full understanding and full knowledge.".
After all, you would want this even with the same condition. Large batch scored somewhere and the same stamp(s) appears to occur several times during clearing/recording. Investigating first and only then recording can sometimes lead to a lack of space.
