Valuing a coin is quite subjective. But I qualify a nice coin that can just be identified as good, lower is simply not possible, but call it very bad.

Now I have a buyer who is not quite familiar with the qualification terminology I think.

His message.
however, the 1cent 1823(b) is in very poor condition. While he (good) would be.
For example, the letter B can no longer be read.

Kind of Babylonian confusion of tongues so to speak.

The used qualifications, valuations and conditions for coins are indeed very confusing. Not only in Dutch, but also in English, German and French. The qualifications of good and very good mean very bad and rather bad indeed to the ordinary collector and enthusiast. Beautiful and very beautiful are also often questionable. And beautiful is not easy to determine in practice. A bronze unc that has been heavily thumbed also shows signs of use. What is wisdom? These terms are also used in the catalogs of Dutch coins. But who is in a position to replace that outdated tradition with better formulations. I can work with it, but for an unsuspecting beginner it is often a difficult exercise.

Quality designations and other terms.
See the coin almanac(s) of the Dutch Association of Coin Traders (NVMH).
For example Lastdodo catalog number #2953845 : a special issue regarding provincial coins, with examples.

For this it is important as a seller to add his own photo (scan), the buyer can judge for himself
What is good in your eyes can be beautiful in my eyes or the other way around
