Sorting City and regional mail:

Many City and Regional Post do not have a date of issue. It is important that the series is nevertheless entered. E.g. Regional post Apeldoorn.

After that, all stamps can be arranged.

By clicking on the series you will see all undated stamps. This provides a fast entrance and makes the whole thing easier.

This can be carried out further. E.g. Regional post Den Helder. By clicking on the series, the stamps, series and envelope will be visible. (all without date of issue).

The normal series with date will remain in effect.

The sorting is only for the purpose of the undated stamps of issue.

By entering this a lot of duplication has become visible. This prevents contamination of the file.

In addition, many stamps have been placed in the right place by the registered FDC.

A small contribution for an even more optimal catalog.

Please additions

Maybe a stupid question, but why do you call it Region post Apeldoorn when all stamps say Stadspost Apeldoorn?

PS A stamp like 7612861 only has a Sport and Football theme.
Otherwise, you can add Mail , Postal delivery , Postal services and Postal transport to all stamps in the stamp section .....

It's not right anyway. A series consists of stamps that belong together in form and / or emission (s). Not all seals from one organization. Otherwise we can group all stamps from the Netherlands under a few series: PTT, PostNL, etc ...

Did you come up with the system described by you yourself, Micho, and did you just introduce it without consultation?

I see that there are also many city/regional stamps under Regional . I don't know how that usage type should be distinguishable from City and Regional Post . Perhaps an experienced philatelist can explain the difference?

Good morning Book Warehouse,

Thank you for your response.

Sorry for the late response. I made a report but it was lost.

So I'm going to save in the meantime.

Maybe a stupid question, but why do you call it Region post Apeldoorn if it says Stadspost Apeldoorn on all stamps?

Stupid questions don't exist.

I try to substantiate this here.

  • The post Stadspost Apeldoorn will not only be delivered to Apeldoorn. This will happen in the region. This would not be economically feasible either.
  • These are the reasons for using the word "region".
  • The word "mail" was used because it refers to mail delivery.
  • The "" region "" is indicated; in this case Apeldoorn.
  • The use of "" Stadpost Apeldoorn "" could have a commercial impact. That is not allowed, see Arco's branding.
  • Splitting Regional and City and regional mail seems an unnecessary breakdown to me. The word "" regional post "" indicates that it is also intended for the region. "Regional could be dropped.
  • Mail, postal delivery, postal services, postal transportation . Some enthusiasm. This may be returned to postal service, postal transport.

I hope to have provided a small substantiation.

M.v.g.

Micho, a collector

That's a lot of theory, but what is on the stamp must be copied.

It's a catalog, so nothing to do with commerce, just mention facts. nothing more nothing less

After all these years, strange things are still happening at Stamps. I suspect it has to do with stubbornly adhering to the way paper catalogs register the stamps. Countless times I see a series of Birds where the separate stamps are simply always referred to as 'Bird', while the stamp clearly states which bird it is. Of those things ... That is not conducive to the results of searches and we will really tackle it once we start working with a fresh programmer this year and hopefully we all get a boost of new energy.

Arco

Basically this is a rhetorical question.

All changes are registered. The report is also registered. My name is noted here.

When you ask the question, you have discussed or tested this with an administrator. The answer is just no.

I also introduced and developed children's thank you cards. Now it has become a source of information. Without administrators.

Regional post is and was a neglected child. I estimate that 60 to 70% of no series was completed. As a result, the stamps do not line up properly.

Even the years were not included in the series.

A series with "Heit" "and" "Men" "=) while region post Friesland belongs.

Then you come across a series of "1981 Regional Post" while it belongs to the Friesland region. Then there is a change "1981 Region post Friesland" "

Then you will see a "" Series 1970 Klein thumbje "The same images, with city post Leeuwarden, Stapspost Den Helder, Stadspost Appingedam, Stadspost Delfszijl. A breakdown is missing. At the region post Leeuwarden there was an envelope again. registered under Stadpost Leeuwarden, so the stamps will not come together either.

I could give many more examples.

I have been able to indicate many duplicates. So one step forward.

I posted it on the forum to receive additions from the administrators.

But they stay out.

If it is not appreciated, let me know. Then stop improving the catalog. Made over 4000 improvements in the last month.

M.v.g.

Micho, a collector

There is a lot of appreciation for your efforts, Micho, that's not the point. But if you are going to come up with something new, consultation in advance is urgently required. I didn't say or mean more than that. We therefore plan to restart administrator meetings for the major sections this year, but in the meantime we have to make do with the forum. And there is plenty of room there. (;-)

Morits

I totally agree. It is about "series" "and the question was asked why. I wanted to explain that. The series puts the stamps, series and envelope together. That happened. This makes the catalog gus better and neater.

I was looking for an answer to the question of what to do with regional versus city and regional mail. The Reli post has stamps in both types for no apparent reason. I see the suggestion here to cancel Regional: seems fine to me. City and regional post says it all. I'll convert the Regional stamps when I come across them. Has that already been arranged?

It is correctly spelled Finsterwalde, a town south of Berlin in the state of Brandenburg.
At the end of World War II, this was part of the Soviet occupation zone. "Emergency stamps" were issued, printed on poor, gray paper. with an allowance for reconstruction. They were, of course, toothless and without gum. You will find most copies in that condition, so unused and unmarked (in this case that is MNH!).
If you search on Finsterwolda , you will of course not find them.

In the Netherlands, all 900+ Regional stamps have now been moved to City and Regional Post. Also made the effort to crop or replace all Regional scans so that you can better see what it is. Now it is a bit of a matter of spotting the duplicates and making sure that the years and issues are correct. There are still quite a few 1 to 8 years off. Do find the issue names getting uncomfortably long with the above convention: "yyyy Regio Post FRL Leeuwarden - December stamps" for example. Perhaps that cannot be prevented.

I have completely worked through Leeuwarden I to IV and it now looks good. I also want to do the "Regio Post" Friesland, Beverwijk and Apeldoorn - all large clusters - but then I think it's enough without management tools so you have to go through every stamp.
