Every model brand, series or type has its own number system.

If you work with a number system, it is so handy that the order is correct. However, no alpha numeric system is active in the Catawiki system. This ensures that, for example, correctly entered numbers are not in the correct numerical place, of course after you sort everything by number in the black bar in the catalog. But ... there is a simple trick to put the models in the right numerical place. see next message ...

Please do not place '#' or 'No.' or 'Patnr.' before or after the actual number. Only letters belonging to the number are allowed. Such as eg; DG2500 in the 'Days Gone' series from Lledo, or the MB25-A in the 'Superfast' series from Matchbox.

bijv bij Matchbox King Size...:

selecteer soort: King Size, Super Kings...

sorteer op nummer en zie dan dat K-161 vóór K-27 staat. Dat spoort toch niet, dat moet anders... misschien een nul ervoor?

En hoever moet je hierin gaan? Stel je hebt een lijst van meer dan duizend nummers, moet dan een nummer één 0001 worden? nee geen nullen...

edit 27-10-2012 - Ik heb t opgelost door een spatie vóór de 27 te zetten.

Dus bij driecijferige series zullen de eerste negen met twee spaties vóór t cijjfer beginnen. En de nrs 10-99 krijgen dan allemaal één spatie ervoor.

Bij tweecijferige series is er dus maar één spatie nodig voor de eerste negen. 

Gebruik in dit geval aub geen 0 want dat brengt t systeem weer in een andere sorteer situatie. (of je moet alles in diezelfde serie dan wijzigen met 0)

Iedereen kan dit wijzigen en het leuke ervan is dat het haast niet opvalt.

Een voorbeeld om dit goed werkend te bekijken is model fabrikant 'Budgie', ook een driecijferige serie die de eerste negen op de juiste plaats heeft staan.

oud: K-27 het systeem leest in een driecijferige serie in dit geval geen 27 maar 270.

nieuw: K- 27 Nu staat er een spatie voor de 27

daarmee ziet het catawiki nummer systeem de '27' als een '027' en komt ie dus vóór de 100 te staan. 

Als je nu op nummer sorteert dan staat alles netjes in de juiste volgorde.

And how far should you go in this? Suppose you have a list of more than a thousand numbers, should a number one become 0001? no zeros...

edit 2012-10-27 - I solved it by putting a space before the 27.

So for three- digit series, the first nine will start with two spaces before t digit. And the numbers 10-99 then all get one space in front.

Thus, for two-digit series, only one space is needed for the first nine .

Please do not use 0 in this case because that will put the system in a different sorting situation. (or you have to change everything in the same series with 0)

Anyone can change this and the nice thing about it is that it hardly stands out.

An example to see this working properly is model manufacturer ' Budgie ', also a three-digit series that has the first nine in the correct place.

We now use do zeros.

The reason is that a zero is visible,

a space is not visible and can be confusing.
